He has cleared all your debts. The club is financially better of now than before he bought them. Just a shame the fans don't realise it.
-
• #2928
oh great no debts... championship football, millions less in revenue but still a huge wage bill.whats coming next?
-
• #2929
Middlesbrough stand the risk of dropping 2 divisions back to back, as they have no backbone, and no class.
Newcastle have to prepare for a real fight, and need the right manager, and to clear away all the old deadwood, or they could be another Leeds.

thats what im scared of, big club once that falls away year by year. i hope shearer stays and is given time
-
• #2931
Given time? As soon as he looses his first 3 matches the boo boys will have him ousted. Will he stay to ruin his god like image, I think not. You could also do with an experienced manager, I wish you luck finding one, must be one of the worst jobs in football.
-
• #2932
he might get 4 games as its him, and his image will always remain, beleive me, hes treated as a god on the tyne. but youve got a very good point, its a job no sane person would want

Lived in Newcastle for 4 years whilst at college, worked in the Hotspur and inventions (now bar OZ?) match days were amazing before the game and after aslong as they won. Was working the bar when you trashed Utd in 95 (ish) have never been so drunk.
Been a while since I have been back to the toon, but maybe over later in the year for a stag do. Good luck for next season.

Newcastle are a comedy club to rival The Comic Store. I feel sorry for the fans.
How shit was the bottom five though? Pick any three from five but they all deserve to go down.
-
• #2935
thanks andy, sorry for being a bit of an arse, but from being in the toon i know you understand how much it means to us. by the way ive been in london so long now i dont know those bars, but i hope you had a good time in the north and were treated well

andyp... i agree we were shocking this season, but ill ask 2 questions were are you from and who do you support?
-
• #2937
I had too much of a good time up there;-) Really should have done more college work.
Hind sight is 20/20.

andyp... i agree we were shocking this season, but ill ask 2 questions were are you from and who do you support?
Define 'from'. I was born in Portsmouth but have no affinity with the place whatsoever (I never lived there). I lived all over the place as a kid as my old man was in the Navy, but supported Arsenal from a young age, mainly as it gave me a sense of stability.

so you have no home town but pick a successful team,i dont think theres a nany base in north london but tell me if im wrong
-
• #2941
You and Pistanator should get together, you'd get on. My father actually served at the MOD for a while which is based in Whitehall, but don't let that spoil your little dig.
My 'home' town is Newbury, altough I only actually lived there for 5 years, and moved there when I was 14. If Graham is to be believed, you can't change your team after puberty. It has no football team of note. Swindon or Reading are the nearest towns with a League team, but I have no affinity with them whatsoever.
I used to be a season ticket holder at Highbury but, sadly, had to give it up.
I do enjoy being lectured by people who claim they support their local team but actually live 200 miles away. I do actually live in the same city as the team I support. Unlike you, but that's probably a whole other story.

No poshos
No Uni/student/Surrey types
No silly, giggly girls
No Poles, gypsys, ethnics or disableds
No plastic Utd fans(this'll be HIGHLY undeliverable I know)if you aren't any of the above are you a homosexual and wear white jeans?
-
• #2943
anddy p... youre father lived in whitehall and that makes you an arsenal fan? i grewup in newcastle , but now because i live in london i cant be a Newcastle fan, how does that work?
-
• #2944
Newcastle have been shite for years and thoroughly deserve to go down, watch them now implode with debt as all the shite players on £75K(WTF?!) a week rape them. Shearer's a cunt and it couldn't have happened to a 'nicer' fella!

We played OK today, Fulham caused no real threats, Jack Rodwell (future England Cptn - FACT!) was immense, 19yo and played like a true pro. Pienaar had a crackin game too, 2 ace goals from Osman
After our 2 goals the third loudest cheer of the day was hearing the FT score at Villa Park! :-)
