1983/83 - Div 2 (Champions)
The first game of the following season was Chelsea @ Highbury.
The whole of the Clock End was blue, and I remember thinking, wow, that's what you call away support.

Talksport announced it, and it's all over twitter.
A 30 million bid has been officially made for Carrol, so the domino's are falling.
and the toon turned it down... wow reckon they want to keep him that much or holding out for a few more £££

this is where Mike Ashley thinks he's a shrewd business man, and set to make the most money possible.
Daniel Levy tried it with Berbatov, and we got screwed. It'll be settled by lunch time.

Hey, I didn't wish he would die or anything like that. I still respect him as the best striker for a long time at liverpool .. better than mikey o
but just a little hammy injury so chelsea know how it feels -

Why did you only give us 5%? Thought the Prem was 10%?
Cos' you're Bluenose filth? Seriously, no idea. Maybe because it's a mid-week game, and fans from the North West aren't expected to travel in numbers?

Only Essien, Lampard and Terry have been out injured for the last 3 months or so.

Everybody know's what Lampard was out with and it certainly was not an injury.

What was it then an STI or a coke problem?

Sturridge to Bolton. Certainly looks like new striker will be arriving at Stamford Bridge today.

Anyone else think a £25million offer for a player who has had half a good season with Newcastle is a little bit mental?

Yeah, but centre forwards are always over-priced, and he's young.

I remember coming back from Grimsby after the last game of the season before and seeing Highbury from the train and thinking - yes we are back. For that first game, the Chelseas allocation slod out swiftly and I had to go to a ticket agency and get tickets in the Arse end. We were sitting. No one was wearing colours. When Dixon scored I kept quiet for an instant until I realised that everyone arouind me was going wild. I am not sure there was an Arsenal supporter anywhere near us that day.

On loan which is good for him and for Chelsea (and for Bolton).

Not to split hairs, but if you were sitting, it was in one of those fine cantilevered Stands, not the North Bank. FWIW, I guarantee you I was wearing a scarf that day.
