  • thanks

  • damo - the championship is an amazing division. you can go through 2 or 3 bad spells a season and still get promoted. It's twice as exciting as the prem and the standard of football is so much better than it was 10 years ago. In fact off the top of my head i can't think of any hoofer teams in it. everytime west brom get relegated i look forward to seeing 25 wins plus a season instead of 4. when we lost to your lot in the play offs a few years ago at wembley i turned to my dad who was upset and told him to look forward to another bumper season of goals and good football. Whatever happens derby are in for an exciting few months and clough has done well there.

  • I know, it's just a bit wobbly when you've won 6 on the trot at home. I know Norwich are also on a run, but I think it's my fault. Not Ramaye's missus' fault.
I started the day saying to a Norwich supporting friend "we've got a great home record, of course we're ready for you"......

  • personally i'd always blame the woman

  • I see.

  • finally. last year most people focused on newcastle bacause they were the 'big' club and full credit to them for winning the league. However most people who saw both teams new that Albion were the better team. 2 draws including a great game at st james where albion took the game to the magpies and ripped them to shreds only to draw 2-2 a week before hammering them 4-2 in the f.a.cup. at last todays result (2-0 at the moment) not only puts us above them as the highest placed promoted team but let's everyone know who is the best footballing team to get promoted. Saying that I think hughton is doing a brilliant job there and blackpool rock!

  • 3-0 Odemwingie underlines above post, good man

  • Great result. Really good.

  • personally i'd always blame the woman

Spot on. She probably won't want to come again this season after her dad, his mate, his mates 90+ year old mum and I spent the walk from the ground blaming her for the defeat.

  • ^ like your style.

albion had 59% possession last week and 58% today against everton and newcastle respectively. seems like the prem are having trouble getting the ball off us now. Villa then Wolves. could beat both of those and leave Wolves languishing at the foot of the table on boxing day. ( only one team has ever survived relegation from such a position). what a brilliant way to close 2010. Come on you Baggies!!!!

  • Di Matteo seems to have 'em playing really well, and fair play to 'em. D' ya reckon he'll bugger off if one of the bigger Italian clubs come calling or mebbe Chelsea or Liverpool ?

  • ^ in a word. Yes. as long as he doesn't do a Mowbray (talk to the players about loyalty and sticking with the team only to bugger off at the first offer (to a smaller club as well!! BDW)). No point in crying at what is essentially the way the world is. RDM is doing a great job for us and seems to have the right temperament as well as tactical know how. Way to early to know if he could do a job at a bigger club but I bet Chelsea are keeping an eye on him. I was thinking who we would get to replace him and the Newcastle manager would be a reasonable option for us if they are still not willing to back him properly.

i don't even know why they let women into the grounds. The smell of menstruation can be off putting in a crowd of 50,000 for any striker approaching goal.

Someone's gotta serve the bovril and ale at half time.

  • risky though.

  • Newcastle were shocking today. one of the worst performances i've seen since our last season in the premier league, which could also be summed up in one word; disinterest.

Not happy tonight, next couple of games are very important.

  • Watched a dire first half for Newcastle, Albion were head and shoulders above them footballing wise, nice insicive passing, good movement and a midfield that weren't scared to hold onto possession.
Newcastle look lost without Barton and Nolan, and will be better when they return, as they lack anyone at the moment who can do anything more than hit the long diagonal or pass it square and short. Routledge is trying but he can't do it on his own and the injury suffered by ben arfer is looking like a really cruel one now, he would have provided some inventiveness and spark ala vdv has done for spurs.
But can't take anything away from Albion they showed up a limited side in good style, hope both teams stay up, Personally I'd like Birmingham, wolves and some other clogged of a team go down...

I love this. What's wrong with what Ronaldo did? Guardiola pisses around, fakes an injury to the face, and then the Barca dwarves come buzzing around. I particularly like the way Ronaldo has to really look down to look at them.

I know CR9 is a tit. I'd have liked him more if he started fighting. It would be like that age old internet question:
"How many 9 year olds can you beat up? All at once?"

Aye me too, Everton it is then.

  • Yes, definitely Everton

  • He's still banned.

  • I meant "clogger of a team" rather than "clogged"
    damn iphone.

I like Everton Moyes has them playing the right way, its just Arteta's been off the boil, they can't get a striker to put the ball in the net, isn't Cahill, their top scorer, rodwell doesn't look like he's growing as quickly as they would like, and it seems if Cahill isn't doing it for them, then no one is. And it looked so promising for Moyes at the beginning of the season.
My other one to go down would be probably Blackburn, but thats just because I don't like Big Sam, and his overinflated opinion of himself, but they probably won't.

  • "MikeC can get fucked, and Clint: we only had 10 men for the last 35 minutes and still had 59% possession"

Our favourite plastic toffee chimes in via the text line.

I feel like spoony or some other rubbish 5 live "dj".

  • Sorry Spoony, Have to correct you there, as Everton had 10 men the other team had 59%.

Sorry Tim Lovejoy, Arsenal Arsenal Arsenal.

Football, Chelsea, geezerbirds, premier league ha ha ha hah ahahahahah
