You can't really define a team by the worst players that have played for it.. makes no sense.
Barca have bought plently of duds, as have every other big team in the world

added to that the fact that Steve McManaman wasn't shit.

steve macca gets props from me for his volley in the european final against valencia, in 2000, and his willingness to move abroad, something that is preternaturally rare in english footballers, marks him out as a great player.

Albion need to refocus for the bolton game. Just because we humiliated arsenal in front of their own fans and had the whole nation laughing at them, simply doesn't mean that we are going to beat lesser teams. Being 3-0 up and handing out a masterclass in football means nothing. It's in the past, it's over , it's done with , it's over and done with, finished. forget the shell shocked cockney faces and concentrate on the bread and butter game that is coming up. There is no point in out-classing and Humiliating Arsenal only to go and lose against Bolton. It's time to move on. It's finished.

WHU have a habit of doing exactly the same. Maybe Baron Greenback will avoid the laurel-resting that always happens at Upton Park.

mike do you honestly think Liverpool will get a hiding from blackpool?
-

Yes. I could beat Liverpool.
We are in a relegation battle. Of that I have no doubt
this season is where 'Arry earns his money, yeah you pulled us out of the bottom three and got us into the champions league, but now the work really starts. He's got to be smart to juggle his resources and keep us firing in the champions league and the premiership. You can't just whine and say City have too much money, we have to concentrate on europe at the expense of the league, good teams/squads have the depth and the managerial nous to do both and if we want to be in the champions league regularly we have to prove we can do it as well.
Which means 'Arry's going to have to trust the players on the fringe of the 1st team and/or bring in replacements for them in the january transfer window. Right now the league is quite tight and we're only four points off second, so we can still make a surge if we start winning, and fingers crossed the midweek result will push us on. But I say that every time we win in europe...
need to sort out lennon's confidence quick smart though...
