I feel sorry for Wigan,
They've offered a shopping window to some great players who they've never tried to hold onto, and always sell at a fair price.
Heskey
Palacios
rodeilga
Moses and many, many more.I'm sure they'll pull the finger out and sort it all out though. It's about 38 games, not two.

Not forgetting Bramble and Scharner

Bramble makes Boumsong look gifted.

maradonna applies for aston villa job !
I know it would be a disaster and probably end in relegation, but part of me wants this to happen. It would be such a laugh.

actually, bramble did alright under bruce.
he's a confidence player. and playing at jongleurs week in week out is enough to ruin anyone.

That'll be the comedy club, right?

Please promise me you're not including the Charity Shield in that list?
Hell yeah
Any Arsenal Fan would be cock-a-whoop at even that paltry trophy right now. -

and the UEFA "super" cup.
It's all silver ware
something Wenger isn't really understanding right now. -

Hell yeah
Any Arsenal Fan would be cock-a-whoop at even that paltry trophy right now.Indeed. Because it would mean we'd have won either the League or the FA Cup. Something Liverpool fans would be cock-a-whoop about too (especially the former, 20 years after their last time!)

tobehonest, seeing Arsenal fans and Liverpool fans argue over recent trophies is a pretty funny scenario.
Both of your trophy cabinets are empty

Carling Cup in 2008, followed by a final appearance in 2009.
We finished 4th last season, which is about as good as a trophy if you ask me as a Spurs fan.
So no, I'm ok where I am, i'll leave you and your trophyless teams to it.

I thought you were a Spurs fan but couldn't believe you'd have the bare faced cheek to lecture Arsenal and Liverpool fans on trophy wins.
I still can't quite believe you have. Can you remind those present when you last won either of the trophies to get you into the Charity Shield?

in my opinion, if belladonna and sasha grey came round to my house they'd get the yentz of their lives.

I think you all need to get some perspective on what can constitute a good season for one team and a bad season for another.
Any Arsenal or Liverpool Fan that is happy with their teams recent end of year performance must be crazy.
Arsenal were close last season, but just fell short
I think Spurs have done pretty well the past few seasons and picked up what has been on offer to them. They'll keep on building and then see how it goes.

I said a few pages ago that Liverpool have no realistic chance of winning the league, perhaps ever again. So yes it is about lowering expectations and trying to enjoy the victories that we have. If we happen to beat The Scum or The Chavs along the way then even better
I'm going out on a limb here, Wigan will finish in the top half of the table this season.
Good manager and some real talent in the squad supported by some experienced players, they'll be alright as long as Martinez remains in charge.
McCarthy, Figueroa, Gomez, Scharner, Stam, Rodallega, Moses, Alcaraz, Boselli and McArthur there's some of football's brightest talent in that team and they will come through.
