  • $332billion to spend abroad sounds like quite a decent amount. How much have those mad Mullahs in charge of City got?

  • $332billion to spend abroad sounds like quite a decent amount.

and you still wont win the league.

  • $332 BILLION to spend on China's footballing super stars more like!

3 goals in 2 games now - not bad for someone that was an RAC recovery man 4years ago

And our new player that made the cross is looking shit hot too, great pre-season

  • It seems unbridled optimism untempered by reality is a Liverpool wide trait;

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2010/aug/05/premier-league-preview-everton

The first two comments had me in stitches.

  • LOL That is too funny.

Looking forward to the live game on ITVshite tonight. Get a chance to look at the team, providing it is on in the pub

  • At least if the Chinese take over the food will improve a Anfield.

  • some of those comments are hilarious.

  • I'm still trying to work out which username Pisti is using over there.

  • "The ridiculousness of this comment has made me want to go and lie down."

    One of yours Andy?

  • Ha the person who made 2nd comment was clearly born a Liverpool fan but decided to support Everton due to school mates.

  • I'm still trying to work out which username Pisti is using over there.

I'm going for this one http://www.guardian.co.uk/users/Theloneraver

A quick search on the article brings up 31 results with the word injury/injuries.

    Who would have thought.....

  • I call that 'Wensleydale' is Pisti

  • has anyone of them started using the term "belters" etc?
    there's your man.

  • What are you cunts squaffing at? We'll be in the top 4 by the end of next season - FACT!*

*if we keep key players free from injury ;-)

  • This fella talks sense:

    "Howard / Almunia - Howard
    Neville / Sanga - Sanga
    Heitinga / Vermalen - Vermalen
    Jagielka / Koschielney - Jagielka
    Baines / Clichy - Baines
Fellaini / Song - I'd say Fellaini but I'm sure others would disagree
    Arteta / Fabregas - Fabregas
    Pienaar / Walcott - Pienaar
    Bilyaletdinov / Arshavin - Arshavin
Cahill / Nasri - Nasri is a better player but who is more effective? I'd say Cahill.
Saha / Van Persie - Van Persie"

  • Neville/Sagna - Ya wrong???
    Baines/Clichy - ya wrong????

    I'd say Cahill though.

  • Fucking hell, Forest have signed someone. Any recently converted Chelsea fans care to tell me if Ryan Bertrand is any good? I know he hasn't played for you much, but he looked decent for Reading against Liverpool last season, not hard mind

  • I thought Liverpool looked pretty decent last night. OK we were against a rubbish team but we looked physically strong. Seems like we have a lot of big, strong players at Anfield now which should help.

I see Tottenham are awaiting their Champions League draw. It looks like they could come up against Young Boys!

    I'll get my coat

  • Fell asleep at

    "I thought......"

  • Arram Grant has made his 5th signing of the Summer in Winston Reid who by the looks of thing is a pretty good bit of business and finally the replacement for Lucas Neil that it has taken 14 months to aquire.
All in all I'm starting to feel pretty good about the comming season with the additiond od Der Hammer and Pablo Barrera also looking good. Not overly excited about Tal Ben Haim but a lone deal till January is hardly risky and I'll wait and see about Piquionne but he can no worse than the poor mans Tubbs from Miami vice that is Benni Mcarthy.

Also looks like we might be getting Sulejmani on loan from Ajax.

Now if we can hold on to Parker which I think we will and off load some of the deadwood I'm pretty hopeful for the season ahead.

    COYI

  • Any recently converted Chelsea fans

ha. Outeth the closet into the Bridge. Ball-licking bastards.

  • i'm quietly more confident than last season.
looks like 4231 or some variant. young tyro in the polish guy Cwyko. if Leacock can stay fit that'll be ace.

still looking for no better than midtable. bed in again. next season make something more positive.

  • Damo, I'm going to be happy with anything better than 17th but I'm hoping for 10th with home and away wins against Sp*rs and maybe to knock Liverpool out of the FA Cup.
