$332billion to spend abroad sounds like quite a decent amount. How much have those mad Mullahs in charge of City got?

It seems unbridled optimism untempered by reality is a Liverpool wide trait;

The first two comments had me in stitches.

"The ridiculousness of this comment has made me want to go and lie down."
One of yours Andy?

• #17062
Ha the person who made 2nd comment was clearly born a Liverpool fan but decided to support Everton due to school mates.

This fella talks sense:
"Howard / Almunia - Howard
Neville / Sanga - Sanga
Heitinga / Vermalen - Vermalen
Jagielka / Koschielney - Jagielka
Baines / Clichy - Baines
Fellaini / Song - I'd say Fellaini but I'm sure others would disagree
Arteta / Fabregas - Fabregas
Pienaar / Walcott - Pienaar
Bilyaletdinov / Arshavin - Arshavin
Cahill / Nasri - Nasri is a better player but who is more effective? I'd say Cahill.
Saha / Van Persie - Van Persie" -

Baines/Clichy - ya wrong????I'd say Cahill though.

Fucking hell, Forest have signed someone. Any recently converted Chelsea fans care to tell me if Ryan Bertrand is any good? I know he hasn't played for you much, but he looked decent for Reading against Liverpool last season, not hard mind

I thought Liverpool looked pretty decent last night. OK we were against a rubbish team but we looked physically strong. Seems like we have a lot of big, strong players at Anfield now which should help.
I see Tottenham are awaiting their Champions League draw. It looks like they could come up against Young Boys!
I'll get my coat

Arram Grant has made his 5th signing of the Summer in Winston Reid who by the looks of thing is a pretty good bit of business and finally the replacement for Lucas Neil that it has taken 14 months to aquire.
All in all I'm starting to feel pretty good about the comming season with the additiond od Der Hammer and Pablo Barrera also looking good. Not overly excited about Tal Ben Haim but a lone deal till January is hardly risky and I'll wait and see about Piquionne but he can no worse than the poor mans Tubbs from Miami vice that is Benni Mcarthy. Also looks like we might be getting Sulejmani on loan from Ajax.
Now if we can hold on to Parker which I think we will and off load some of the deadwood I'm pretty hopeful for the season ahead.
