The keeper seemed to be moving in geological time.

he probably had 11 pints the previous night, it was the 7th tier of welsh football, he was probably the managers mate doing a favour and had never seen a pair of goalkeeping gloves before in his life, forever forward known as " the ringer " when seen on Cwrt Rawlin high street

Arsenal going to break the record here.

Arsenal had a 16 year old and a 17 year old on the bench but didn't bring them up.
Surely if you're 5-0 up at half time, that's when you can bring on the kids after 70 mins?

Also Ipswich's 2-0 defeat to WBA on Saturday was the first league game we'd failed to score in since 14th Feb (0-0 at Bristol Rovers, a game I was at).
Tonight's game was great in the first half and boring in the second, because we didn't really need to do anything.

I've not been to a Prem match for some years (John Gregory's fault - 5 hour round trip for a 0-0), but my 9 yr old twins want to watch Villa play. It seems to be a bit tricky to get tickets to any matches near to London, having to join supporter clubs or whatever else.
Is there an easy way to get 3 tickets somewhere? Brentford didn't want my money, neither did Fulham.

• #166943
Well that's one way to get off the bottom

Brentford and Fulham don't have enough seats for the regular fans! Might get joy at West Ham - huge capacity stadium.

And that’s another… not pretty but very much needed. You hit your stride today.

What @Familyman said - go to West Ham. I went there to see Liverpool play, they have shitloads of spare capacity.
You might need to coach your kids to pretend to be West Ham fans tho, the home end can be pretty unforgiving.

Villa shirts are a bit similar. We are very local to west ham.
Bit grim though. I would feel dirty -

I would feel dirty
For sure this was my experience. On balance I’m glad I went as it was the year we won the league so I’m glad I got to see that team in action irl, and I got to witness the sweetest Mo Salah assist, but I was definitely feeling v envious of the fans in the away end who were getting to openly enjoy themselves. The London stadium vibe at that time was pretty toxic, the West Ham fans were borderline in revolt. Think it’s a slightly happier place now so might be a bit of a different experience.

I went there as a guest to see Brighton win 3-0 or something a few years ago. That was when there were fights in the crowd etc.
If you wanted to avoid the rush, you would want to stay until full time

joy, despondency, joy, despondency, despair, overjoyed, elation
great game, though we were gonna lose our unbeaten home record for a good bit of that second half
great comeback and anfield went crazy
