Finishing the season over the summer doesn’t leave the relegated clubs with much time to replace players like El Ghazi and Wesley when they leave for another lower half prem side. Seems unfair, just call the whole season void and get straight into the Euros this summer.

The problem with calling this season void is that there's no guarantee that next season would be ready to start in August, so it could end up completely fucking up two seasons.

For this reason I guess they'll suspend the current season, postpone Euro 2020 and then once things have calmed down (could even as late as March 2021) finish off everything. If they resume the league earlier (but after a few months of suspension) and have less time for the 21/22 season to run the full schedule then they can organise some different tournament (i.e. only play each team once and random home/away selection) to fill in that year and then restart properly in Aug 2022.
