Can someone explain why some Liverpool players appear to be wearing red socks and others red and white and others white?

I think they're wearing red socks but some have weird white half sock things (and the Everton players too). Maybe some kind of ankle support?

I was quite surprised to hear how many German speakers were watching the game and celebrated Liverpool's goal.

Stan Collymore explained the white bottom half of sock thing. Something to do with football socks being shite and the new socks allow the players to easily wear and tape their non slip socks underneath the club’s official football sock.

Most players use something like Trusox these days and cut the foot off their official kit socks and wear over the top.

There is some sort of kit rule saying that players should be wearing full official kit colours, so there was some dispute over players using these socks under the kit colours. Liverpool seem to have added extra white to their socks this year to allow players to get away with it, but I noticed how high some of the white socks went too.

Ox is definitely wearing Trusox.

LFC kit socks are horrible, but it’s to be expected of NB I guess.

For me, I’d always associate Chelsea kit in the 70s with blue top and shorts and white socks . Ymmv

There are loads of vids on YT highlighting stuff players do with their socks and shoes; a surprising amount of them have taken scissors to all the flyknit /sock fit uppers and cut chunks out of them, removed lace covers or made the Superflys into low tops.

Yeah I think I missed the long sleave option hoping they will do another run. Love a long sleave football kit.
