  • Bottom half is insanely tight this season. With only Liverpool and to some extent Leicester and City consistently winning, really hard to call where it's going to end up. Could easily be 40+ to stay up.

  • Bottom half is insanely tight this season.

4-20 is somewhat more than half!

  • In terms of relegation, I think 4-10 are probably safe, but inconsistent - and managing to lose to teams at the bottom. Anyone from 11 down could get sucked back in.

  • big thanks to @soul for the tickets for the top of the Championship clash yesterday. was not the most amazing game and a fair result really.

watched the game with @clintsmoker and I think we were most entertained by the abuse the Leeds goalkeeper was taking and the usual shenanigans of the best mascot in world football.

  • as for united you never know which side is gonna turn up. as Ru said apart from Liverpool, City and Leicester all sides in the division are very capable of losing.

It's an exciting season though. And would love a shake up of the traditional top six.

  • Bottom half is insanely tight this season.

Think you can pretty much safely call us out of it at the bottom. Just can't see how we're going to get ourselves another 26pts out of 17 games that include trips to United, Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, Wolves, City and visits to us from Liverpool and Leicester - even if we average a point a game out of those it means we have to get 2pts a game out of the remaining 9!

Such a shame, some sensible cash spent on a few key additions over close-season and I think we'd have given ourselves a decent chance of finishing safely...

  • True - that is tough. There have been plenty of upsets but you're getting cut adrift now. Would be quite some feat to turn that round.

  • Hmmmm. My downstairs toilet does need something

  • Unfortunately that’s the logo design from our most disastrous season’s kit.

  • Oh, and... ROOOOOOONEY

  • Imagine the awful stench from Kopites if Liverpool go the season unbeaten.

  • Corny’s Christmas tree?

  • Much too easy...

  • See OGS wants both Maddison and Grealish. Good luck with that fella.

  • Very nice. Derby are my second team after my best mate at school took me to the Baseball Ground when I was eleven (we lived in Southampton). Saw the Rams beat Luton 5-0 (Roger Davies got all 5) then Burnley 5-2 (Kevin Hector, my favourite player after Colin Bolton, got 2) over Easter). They romped the league.

  • Plastic.

  • Drinkwater’s coming home

  • Famous 2-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge. So proud of the team.

  • Just as well spurs put out the reserves, otherwise that would be a bit embarrassing

  • Lolerton.

  • Great goal

  • When Klopp first arrived at Liverpool, the two aspects of play that I noticed were 1) the press and 2) confidence to play with the ball. It seems those traits have been instilled very nicely in the next generation.

  • Yep! Hopefully this means players can just slot in when needed. Williams at right back was excellent.
