Traore's shoulder charge on Mendy was a thing of beauty.

No worries mate. Let me know on the day...

Kane.
Wank.
-
• #152156
Got lucky with that result.
Norwich were unlucky.
Ndombele looks class though... -
• #152157
Kane is a frustrating player when the midfield is weak.
Or possibly, he's just a frustrating player.

Pellegrini’s gone

Pellegrini’s gone
And your thoughts on that? I remember you being quite excited when he arrived.
-
• #152160
I’m pretty patient with managers, but it’s been hard this season, not replacing players we sold/let go and signing talentless journey men like Sanchez.
But he truly lost me when we played Arsenal, a team with a wonderful front three and a shambles at the back, he had us sitting so deep, rarely getting out of our half.
My only worry now is Moyes will get the nod, his win rate is worse that Pellegrini’s. -
• #152161
Not too mention fucking dull football that he’ll bring back
-
• #152162
Do the owners at West Ham have the ambition to get another trophy winning manager in? They’ll have to back him in the next 2 transfer windows with a £100m transfer budget or more to get them to challenge for a top six place.
The foundation is there with Rice, Anderson, Haller, Fornals and Diop. When you add Antonio, Yarmalenko and Lanzini and you should have a competitive squad.
Priority must be to get a GK plus 3 or 4 outfield players to compete with these guys and on paper they should be good to go.
Marcelino could be a good fit but not sure he’d be up for another nutcase owner at this stage.

• #152163
Kept you up with a worse squad though.
-
• #152164
Worse win rate that Pellegrini though.
Also was took a short contract last time to use as a springboard to a better management job and not worked since. Speaks volumes no?
-
• #152165
I was suggesting a worse squad equates to a lower win percentage. Not sure about the contract last time, don’t know what he was offered and what he took. The out of work thing is a fair point. I think Moyes rates himself better than he is and probably prices himself out of managerial positions that he would suit. Also I think the easy life of punditry means he maybe doesn’t have the appetite for managerial work now. And I think West Ham’s ambition probably outstrips what Moyes would bring, though I think he’d do a good job for 3-4 years and allow the team to establish itself a bit higher up the league.

• #152166
Worse squad? Not so sure about that.
He can strengthen in January by recalling the wonder striker that he bought Jordan Hugill.

• #152167
Gold and Sullivan have been at West Ham for what 15years? More?
Isn’t it time they looked at themselves and how they are running the club than firing every manager that doesn’t achieve their ambitions?
Surely they need to change their approach and the people they employ to run the club to give themselves a chance? Managers can’t do it all in their own. -
• #152168
Tbf, they showed ambition with Pellegrini, backed him with a big budget and he’s gone on to prove he’s no longer as committed as he was at Malaga, Real & Man City. Let alone his woeful tactics.
But to make such a backward step and return to Moyes (if the deluge of reports are true) when Nico Kovac is available is abysmal.

• #152169
but you've been poor for a while right.
Where's the investment in the infrastructure, apart from your move to the olympic stadium?
What's the youth team set up looking like? Training ground? Where's the money you've earned from being in the Premier League gone?
Feels like you guys are constantly treading water, before grabbing hold of something to keep you above water before things go shit.
Why would Nico Kovac, or any other young ambitious manager (Eddie Howe has been mentioned) come to you for? Apart from showing what he could do to bigger Premier League clubs, and possibly getting a large pay off when he's shown the door. -
• #152170
@furious_tiles
should say I'm not having a go, just seems like West Ham jump from manager to manager without much of a plan to make any improvement sustainable. So even if for instance you lucked into a Europa League place, would you get out of the group stages and would your participation impact on your league placing. -
• #152171
Also was took a short contract last time to use as a springboard to a better management job and not worked since. Speaks volumes no?
He was probably holding on for another crack at the United job.
-
• #152172
Moyes confirmed on an 18mth contract
-
• #152173
Arsenal, ffs
-
• #152174
Big win for us today... I'm off to bed...
-
• #152175
Don’t know which is funnier: Moyes back at West Ham or Arsenal collapsing at home again.
Must be fun but frustrating to be a Chelsea fan. They veer between the sublime and ridiculous half to half, game to game.
You jinxed that.
