unless we go on to win big ears for a 6th time that is !

liverpool vs thrushy, what hideous onerous tactics will he pull out of his one dimensional hat, time wasting, bus parking, injury feigning, i loathe playing against him and his sides, always niggly affairs with little to enjoy
It will be a highly unpleasant nasty affair. The only hope we have of a decent game is if we score an early goal.

i loathe playing against him
He's pretty easy to play against now, his pace has gone so you just have to play a wall pass around him. As he's intent on organising from the back , you have to break fast, play the wall pass and then you're through on the keeper. Then it's just a case of getting the keeper to commit.

I mean, that's my experience of playing Jose at 5s on a Wednesday at Barnes.
YMMV -

If we had a keeper worthy of the title, that should have happened last year!

@chaflea
... Not with Barnes? -

He's on the next pitch over.
Him and Ince are constantly at it. -

Allison has repaid his transfer fee already.
So you got £65m for making it out of the group stages? Duck me but that’s a lot of cash. If only Chelsea were in it.

Harry Kane reckons Spurs are contenders after drawing against what was pretty much a second string team that had already qualified.

Got to talk up your chances.
Also in all seriousness think pochettino is very much of the opinion that we as a team shouldn’t be frightened of anyone. Respectful, acknowledging an opponents quality but confident we are good enough to beat them.
And if you get into the knockout stages what’s the point in going in with a “we’re just happy to be here” thought process. Rather have a “no one believes in us” mindset, and be the underdogs in every round who no one really wants to play. -

if liverpool can win it with team of chancers (and super G obvs) then anyone can...

• #147864
My abiding memory is of all the Liverpool players running to celebrate with Dudek, with the exception of a very shocked Djimi Traore; "WTAF am I doing here???!!!"
-
• #147865
Also no one cares about how you get out of your group, if you go deep into the knockout stages, get to the final.
-
• #147866
We all know what happened the last time when Kane talked up their chances.

In case Blackfoot junior is clouding your memory...

What we got turned over by juventus?
You win some you lose some. Hopefully we would have learnt from the experience. There’s a difference between talking up your chances and predicting victory.
The only ones who bring this sort of thing up are those that were waiting for you to fail in the first place. -
• #147869
Not on Twitter, so have no idea what that relates to?
I refer you to my previous post.. -

Kane trying to talk up their chances when Leicester won the title and Spurs ended up in third. Sometimes it’s just better to shut up and let your boots do the talking.

Indeed as Mertens discovered yesterday.

Which final?
Best club in London who play in North London? -

Meh.

Bad news for us. We will need to strengthen our defense in January for sure

Maybe Liverpool will break the world transfer record again and their deluded fans will still complain about not being able to match other clubs’ spending.
it was ' a ' night at anfield, a regular 1-0 win
no need to score 2 goals in the last 5 minutes, people won't be talking about it in 10 years
sounded a good atmosphere though, and we got the job done
then on to the elephant in the room, liverpool vs thrushy, what hideous onerous tactics will he pull out of his one dimensional hat, time wasting, bus parking, injury feigning, i loathe playing against him and his sides, always niggly affairs with little to enjoy
anyone think he'll try anything different
