The interesting thing about that story was that the official club statement was Chelsea was not for sale...

He's not allowed in the country with his filthy money, of course he's going to sell up.

If the club is for sale, it will be sold to someone with far more money than sense. The rejection of the £2bn offer from that English chap indicates that whoever buys will be vastly rich. Investing that type of money means that they will appreciate the need to spend more.
But then the entire story is speculation.

It was a draw, no penos...

I'm sure you did. Sadly for United and pleasingly for the rest of us, United have very little to LOL about right now

Getting sick of the Wolves love-in, touting them like they're some kind of great white hope. Sure, they were good in the Championship (although Reading, Newcastle and Leicester all got promoted with more points and goals scored in the last ten years or so), but Fulham were much better over the second half of the season.
Lots of bitching last week about how unlucky they were to lose - when they hit the woodwork three times and conceded an unlucky own-goal - yet somehow they were tactical geniuses yesterday to get a draw against Man City yesterday - who hit the woodwork three times and conceded an unlucky goal that was handed into the net.
Still, I hear they're soon to be mixing it with the big clubs of Europe...

This - they’ve been bought by a Chinese conglomerate but people are acting like they’re plucky promoted underdogs.
That’s football now: no money, no results.

Clapton
Played 5-a-side on and off with an ex-Clapton player (not naming names, I don't think he was supposed to be ruining himself in the off-season, he's not listed in the current squad though) for the last few months. Stupidly hard shot (just like mine) although he managed his with almost zero backlift.
Amazing just how outclassed everyone else felt with him playing. The gulf in ability, even to a non-league amateur like him, was obvious; especially as he seemed to only bother to put in about 20%.

Brilliant to see us playing the way we are at this stage of the season, still a long way to go but I fucking love what I am seeing ... I, personally, think it was a peno, the elbow in the face on Giroud nullifies the Toon goal for me so we'll just call it 0-1 for the haters...
Libpool's to loose... #sic

I think at that level there's not a lot of control about what players do outside of their clubs.
There are a lot of players from the Isthmian League, ESL and other leagues at that level playing in Hackney Marshes on Sundays as well.
A couple of years ago I came up against Shomari Barnwell, who at that time had left Clapton for Dagenham and Redbridge, on a Sunday- he definitely shouldn't have been playing Sunday League!

Blimey - Lindelof is next level appalling. United are a shambles at the back.

Three games in, not even the end of August and United's title challenge is over. You can't ask for more than that. P45 in the morning...
