FIFA trolling Trump?

This is utter madness!
I don’t know how taking the Real Madrid money makes him unable to finish the job he’s currently contracted to do.
And should Real have made it public? Did they need to?
If Southgate was offered say the Everton job and took it, right before the World Cup, would the fa sack him?If a player can be sorting out his next club right upto the eve of the World Cup, why can’t a manager?
Feels like the Spanish fa have shot them selves in the foot when their team have a good shot of winning the World Cup for a 2nd time in a decade..

Apparently the Real Madrid players knew and the club were scared it’d leak out hence they made it public. It’s quite the overreaction if you ask me.

Real shouldn't have announced it before the World Cup, that just gave ammo to their haters.
It's the lack of trust that makes the Spanish FA's decision understandable.
Manager announces a move before the biggest tournament, doesn't tell the employers about it before speaking to the press, having just signed an extension a month ago.
It's not perfect but RM and Lopetegui should have handled it better.Players are different to the national manager because although they're paid, it's not an employment as it would be for their club. It's expected that they might transfer in the summer as club/international duties don't conflict for them, but the national manager should be prioritising the national team over everything else. Especially in a WC year/month/days before the tourney.

We don't need another Hierro...

Didn’t know about his extension, makes the decision make a bit more sense. And Real should have contacted the fa if they wanted him. Shows how desperate they were really and probably how limited their options were to replace Zidane, once all the obvious candidates were taken off the board..

nice easy run in too !
on the liverpool forum the west ham match was predicted on the 8th june
when do they actually do the draw and how much time do the fa and the teams spend negotiating the fixtures to make sure everybody is happy with the results of the draw ?
-
• #143640
Well remember Rafa's rant? Allegedly Fergie used to decide all the fixtures well in advance.
-
• #143641
I remember Rafa's rant. Cogent stuff, particularly the part about not getting sucked into Ferguson's mind games. Liverpool were top of the table at the time and ended up finishing second to United. Great success.
