Not surprised that Zidane got the Spanish archer. Beating a third rate English team only 3-1 is pretty unacceptable by RM standards.

Roman has binned off the new CFC stadium?
-
• #143458
No visa, no stadium... Who can blame him?

Surprises all over today. Zidane leaving on the high of highs. No point comparing it to Guardiola, Ferguson or Cruijff. He did something none of those did in the modern era.
Roman deciding not to blow a billion pounds on a stadium was going to be on the cards considering what’s going on politically in the UK at the movement. Still not the news I was hoping for.

So no owner, no manager, no stadium, no players. I'm sure you'll still win more than us next season though :D

One does have to hope so.

So Chelsea have just announced that the stadium redevelopment is on ice.
In some ways this is good because it puts off four years of upheaval and the chance of me popping my clogs before that occurs has just inccreased. In addition, match day revenue is probably losing its impact with increasing television revenues and sponsorship - which relates alost exclusively to television.
The worry is the committment of the club not to move beynd six miles of Stmford Bridge which, when given was well received and then forgotten in the excitment of the redevelopment. It shoudln't have been an issue as £11 billion spent on a new groound would have anchored us, in practical reality, in SW6 for the foreseeable future. The point is that the promise was time limited to 2020.
With the redevelopment shelved, a move could be back on.
Israel? Tel Aviv?

Pochettino to Real then. Apparently he's been given assurances that Spurs transfer budget may be improved, but he might still be tempted to leave for Real.
Might? Tough call isn't it, one of the biggest jobs in football, or Spurs?

Klopp might be in the frame yet, probably take Salah with him.

Darren Moore I heard, expect he’ll be taking McAuley with him..

Mauricio Pochettino has asked Tottenham Hotspur to let him leave for Real Madrid. They also want him to bring Harry Kane with him to the club.

Gonna be a fun season. Where's the best place to buy some plastic flags and 'arf'n'arf scarves in bulk so I can flog them to our new fans?

Chelsea in the ten years before Abramovich:
2 FACups
1 League Cup
1 Cup Winners Cup
1 Super CupLiverpool in the last 10 years
1 League Cup
Tottenham in the last 10 years
0
Arsenal in the past 10 years
3 FA Cups
3 Community ShieldsInteresting. So when we were shit we were performing better than two of today’s big clubs and on a par with a third.
Puts it into perspective.

Tough call isn't it, one of the biggest jobs in football, or Spurs?
A five year contract with no expectations or almost certain dismissal in six months.
He’ll take it unless he has even less belief in his abilities than I do.
Derby went too soon - could have had Zidane...
