KIWIS!!! F*ck me!
C'mon Rooney, have a look!
Well done New Zealanders. F*cking outstanding. Brilliant.
Though the ref may have been of Italian descent, or at least on their payroll......somehow.

Unless the so called bigger teams pull fingers out the last 16 will have a refreshingly different look. Hopefully points to international managers having to pull fingers out and go to win the opening games rather than not losing. What are the odds on England, France, Italy not making it to the 2nd round.
Not including Spain in that as they had a freak result against the Swiss which hopefully they'll bounce back from. -

Really disappointing from England on Friday. The team fully deserved to get booed by the crowd, I would probably have done the same thing out of sheer frustration. Had they played like they actually wanted to be there, and lost, then I would still be 100% behind them, but they looked terrible. They played with no heart.
I'm backing North Korea alongside England now. I really enjoyed their first game against Brazil. They're the underdog of underdogs in this tournament, in the group of death, lowest ranked team, lowest odds on winning it (2000/1), but they held their own against the best in the world, they played their hearts out on that pitch last week. I wish we could show the same level of commitment those guys did. All the supposedly 'superpower' European teams are floundering at this tournament. If any outsiders are gonna win, this is the WC it'll be done at!

The BBC and ITV would not repeat what he had said. Seems considerably milder than most of Rooney's explosions. Good man Anelka. Credit to the French team for standing up for him.

You only need to spill your coffee and the French will have a revolution.
I would love to see the England team tell the FA to fuck off like this once on a while.

I've listened to the French radio for the past 45mn or so. Highly entertaining! The whole of France is shocked and disappointed by the team behaviour. That they have played really badly and refusing to train today (there was almost a fight between the captain and the trainer) is going to make them lose face at the next match on Tuesday and was an insult to the spectators who came to watch them today.
All sort of speculations on who was the traitor who reported the insult. Jean-Louis Valentin (an FFF director) gave a tearful resignation and said he was shocked and that he had enough and was going back to Paris!
The newsreader compared the whole thing with an episode from Dallas but concluded with the female French team who were winning a game against Croatia to qualify for the world cup.
Allez les Bleues!
