Looking forward to seeing Salah back in the Premier League, I think he'll be a good signing.
-
• #136803
I reckon you could get someone equally as capable in that role for a lot less money.

Yeah. But. JT.

Think of the glitz. The glamour.

I'm not so sure - transfer fee + wages = £4m gets you fuck all these days. There are supposed to be all sorts of bonuses in there and if he helps us to promotion it's worth it.
He should be OK for a year at championship level and will certainly kick some players up the ares that need it. Sounds like he still wants to be playing rather than just earning a final paycheck so I hope it'll be positive. Definitely a gamble though.
Is also the type of signing that could encourage others to come - eg some of Chelsea's 400 kids out on loan.JT though. All said through gritted teeth.

Ooof. It's the truth that cuts deepest.

Matic for £40m to Man Utd, wonder if that deal is confirmed that dier stays at Spurs?
Also what happens to Chelsea's midfield as it was matic and kante! With cesc dropped on when they were chasing a game and looking for attacking solutions. He's not going to be the replacement? Assuming bakayoue? (sp) is the player they want to replace him...
Other question whose the back up if kante/new signing get injured? Is there a youth player in the fold who'll step up? -
• #136810
Bakayoue in, also chaloba, lewis Baker and RLC are there too.
-
• #136811
A totally backward move for Harry Kane to even consider joining Dreary at Man United

stop regurgitating tabloid tittle tattle...
-
• #136813
but does conte trust them? Will he play them?
-
• #136814
Trouble is sometimes this tabloid crap has some element of truth. It's a nonsense move IF it is true
-
• #136815
Chaloba snd RLC both got game time last season i know it was off the bench but he kept them in the squad and used them, im hoping that he has seen something that he likes and develop them in to first team regulars.

with the relative quiet here, it seems yentzing season (TM @clintsmoker) is in full swing.
tactics thinker Jonathon Wilson on why transfers stifle younger player development,
aims a backhand at Chelsea, and sends some praise for promotion of youth in Koeman's direction and slightly more tempered in the Sheriff's direction.

Can't believe we're offloading Ake, I like him...
-
• #136819
know you can get money for him, and if Conte gets his way, he'll be even further down the pecking order. And he'll be back, like Matic and Lukaku...
-
• #136820
I guess we'll find out what's real and what's tabloid bollocks on Sunday... Happy to let Matic go (again), don't want Kakkers...
-
• #136821
Yeah bit gutted Ake is going had hopes he was going to get a place this season.
As Corny said he will do well and then chelsea will pay 30mil to buy him back ! -
• #136825
Conte wants Bonucci, Chelsea buy Rudiger.
For £15m more than Ake too. Amazing transfer dealing.
Might not play all the matches. But I bet he acts as a focus.
