Assumed the game would be rained off (as it was at the slightest hint of rain all last season). Also, didn't want to stand in the rain. Also wasn't sure if Clive was really up for it, and didn't feel like bothering him about it.
So, no. I bailed. Really hope to be there for the FC Romania match at the end of the month.

1-1, wet, should have won.
Barking at home on the 24th is going to be a big one.

The biggest irony being that Wenger created the fittest squad and introduced the most up to date training techniques at the beginning of his Arsenal career.A proper cycling fan will need to help me out here but I seem to remember that one of the journalists who went after Armstrong mentioned that he had seen a lot of sinister things going on in football. Football names linked to cycling doctors etc.
I am fully expecting a doping scandal in football. The drug testing windows are fairly predictable and very infrequent. I can't believe that football is somehow noble enough not to take advantage of substances that might speed up your recovery between matches.
I've sat with prem level ballers and watched the powdered mirror getting passed along the room. There's no way on this green earth football is clean or heavily regulated....There's too much money, too much at stake to allow such a scandal.

I'm still fuming about it and even a fan of any other team must realise how much it is such shame that Payet will be out for months as even without my rose tinted specs on he's an absolute joy to watch.Right, can every cunt here fuck off once and for all with the lfc deluded bollox.
11th or 18th - might already be a bit bladdered from a lunch session on the 11th though.
