I really don't like Palace and Pardew. Still I guess we had to lose at some point. Glad it's not every week mindWe've been so poor against them recently, Bolasie & co play like Messi and the brazil 77 everytime we're up against them. Especially with the height, pace and strength they possess. Well in to them. Anyway it was a good game ruined by individual brain farts. I'd be more concerned about the ::cringe:: "the most bestest fans in football" crap that the marketing men still dine on. Even commentators have turned that shiiiite down nowadays.

Oh no. That is awful news.Although we, as a community, have been guilty of similar things. With Emma Way and the coked up micro cock dude.
Not sure I fully agree. We all know what it is like having a seeming nutter aim their vehicle at you and press the foot to the gas. Worse still was that emma hit someone and drove off. The only way the world found out was because she bragged about it social media. Imagine it had been more than the wing mirror that hit the cyclist and she then fucked off?!....And that shit does happen IRL. Next thing we're seeing tearful appeals for witnesses...
Cowards would both drop a brick if they hear one of their nearest and dearest (say their own child) had a driver do to them what they've done themselves
Fuck them. They deserve everything they got and then some. -

First comment:
I'm making over £7k a month working part time. I kept hearing other people tell me how much money they can make online so I decided to look into it. Well, it was all true and has totally changed my life.
This is what I do ------>>
Which is handy for him.

I think you're sort of all missing the point. You just can't go round spouting shite about a whole City and group of people branding them 'scum'. I think people think it's 'OK though...those Scousers love a laugh'.
It's been going on for years in the media, every football ground and I've heard more derogatory anti-Scouse jokes over the years than I've had hot dinners.Change the word Scouse to 'black' and we'd all be up in arms...what gives?
middleofnowhere
Is that for real? Fucking ridiculous if so. What actual harm has his rant done? Who actually > gains from Clive losing his job? It's all just a pathetic over-reaction.
Seriously the best thing you've posted here, Graham. I stopped coming here for a while for exactly that reason. None of you would have the balls to post the constant shit you did about the city about any other minority/religious group. I made several lengthy posts about what Thatcher's government did to that city with the managed decline. Nada...It was singled out by our conservative government/bullingdon massive cabinet questionable bedfellows...

[see the comments]hahahaha hilarious stuff^
96 dead and the biggest cover up in the history of this country yet the labels persisted. Clive's words further engrained the attitudes that many have of the city and spew online. If you're too stupid or lazy to use the correct language and separate football goers from innocent non footie people then then take the consequence. If you think it fine to justify the random stabbing of people from there as happened on this thread then the fall out is your problem.
Call me mad but what happened there isn't miles off how majority black cities/towns have been treated by the US federal government historically. Given the amount of right on Granuiad readers here few would throw similar rocks their way.Having a laugh is one thing, as is posting stuff here, maybe even doing a tongue-in-cheek blog is but the video rant made it seem like Clive really believed all the stuff he posts which would have been concern for an employer/potential clients, nach.
But it is crazy he has lost his livelihood. Felt sick reading he was no longer employed.

@Multi_Grooves, yep I agree that the Emma Way example is worse then "mere" words. But the micro cock guy did no more than rant. Although he did it directly.
Anyway, a minor point. FWIW, and I hope it's obvious, I think you and Pisti are spot on on this.

But in that video he is clearly talking about the Liverpool fans that were at SB. He asks why those scouse scum were singing... If you are extrapolating "scouse scum" to all Liverpudlians then you would have to be suggesting that all Liverpudlians were there singing "you're getting sacked in the morning", which is ridiculous.
Also, if I remember correctly, the main thrust of his weather reports for Liverpool focused on him claiming that the crowd was made up predominantly from southerners and Norwegians.

The news about Clive is both sad and pathetic. Really, he should be above this kind of thing, and picking on scousers is begging for trouble. Having a social media profile, where it's easy to link him to his employers, and then dragging their name through dreadful rags like The Liverpool Echo is only going to lead to one thing.
I'm sure he'll be employed again soon enough, and will have learnt to keep a low profile.
Bolted horses and stable doors etc......

Is football really worth getting that angry about in the first place? Homeboy was spewing. I suppose "fan" is derived from "fanatic".
Sad as what I know of Clive is really cool, but once his employers saw the clip did they have any other choice? -
• #120822
That's it really, losing your job over it is a bit rum but whenever you describe a group of people as 'scum' you've lost your argument.
Poor Clive.

@Manc_Ronnie
You're being a little disrespectful to rags there, mate...
Clive comes out top on Google search
Clive James is second
Clive Woodward third
So, Clive is technically more popular than an Australian author & critic and more popular than a World Cup winning Sir!
