You beat me to quoting that.
Cheers for the points.
I'm going up to Ewood Park on Saturday, now we need either a point or to make sure Brentford don't make up a four goal deficit. Not a done deal but not the worst situation to be in.

I was under the impression you were already promoted in January?

I know it's a mad wager but...
I want to bet on Leicester City gaining a win or a draw against Chelsea on Wednesday night.
How do I look for odds on that outcome?
-
• #116880
No. It doesn't work like that, as you know when some of your lot thought you'd won the league in September...

I would have taken playoffs at the start of the season so I should be happy. I'm a bit sad tho. Let's hope Bournemouth get beaten by 17 goals tomorrow.

I want to bet on Leicester City gaining a win or a draw against Chelsea on Wednesday night.
How do I look for odds on that outcome?
Put two bets on, one for Leicester winning and one for them drawing. Different ammounts on each to equalise the payout.
Looking at the current odds from William Hill (in decimal form):-
Leicester: 5.00, Draw: 4.00, Chelsea: 1.65
So £4 on Leicester to win (at 4/1) gives you a return of £20 (including your stake).
£5 on the draw at 3/1 gives you a return of £20 (including your stake). So if you wanted to put £10 in total on then scale up both bets by £10/£9
£4 * (£10/£9) = £4.44 on Leicester to win at 4/1
£5 * (£10/£9) = £5.55 on the draw at 3/1So your £10 bet will get you £22.22 if Leicester win or draw.
Decimal odds make it so much easier to work out as if the odds of two events are x and y, then the starting point of equalising payouts is:-
£x on the event with decimal odds of y
£y on the event with decimal odds of xThen if you want to spend £z in total then scale each bet by z/(x+y).
This gives you:-
£ (x*z)/(x+y) on the event has decimal odds of y
£ (y*z)/(x+y) on the event has decimal odds of xOr just go into a bookie and ask for the odds of Chelsea not winning, they'll probably give you that as a single bet.

Great result beating Utd at Goodison. Didn't win the possession but kept a clean sheet and put three past De Gea.

yet another straw for us to grasp at

• #116889
haha, manure. We still won't pass them though.

So your £10 bet will get you £22.22 if Leicester win or draw.
Thank you for the maths.
I'm going to do that bet even tho it seems daft.
Fuck Chelsea, if they win I lose a tenner.

Choice quotes include:
Did other players understand what he was going through? “Noooooah. A lot of them were intelligent guys at Arsenal, but on a real level no. They wouldn’t be able to handle it. I’m very special in that sense.
On his new political career:
“Has anything vexed you as much politically as the mansion tax?”
“Inequality,” he says surprisingly. “I want it to change.”
On why he doesn't have many footballer friends:
Sometimes the conversations were just a bit too low for me. The same old stuff every time. I just switched off.”

From upthread^^^^
A) yes, Dave Cameron - what a twat. However tired you are, you don't forget who you support. Fuck off to west ham, and we'll keep hrh wills and forrest gump.B) fucking robbed. Hart should have been off and 3-2 up. Real shame that guzan gave them a start or we would be safe now. Still tight, but can't now believe we haven't got more than the others in the zone.

Great game yesterday. Means that we should win the League at home at a weekend which is preferable to midweek in Leicester.
Arsenal fans are more woeful than their team.
-
• #116897
I thought you weren't going to win the league. Counting chickens, and all that?
-
• #116898
Brenda in for Benteke for £30m + Lambert >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Hopefully that kind of nonsense will disappear when our new Chinese billionaire owners are announced in a couple of weeks and we start signing Messi and Ronaldo. (Unless they decide to buy the baggies instead).

• #116899
It's more than likely they'll want Villa over us and i'm okay with that. The majority of foreign consortium takeovers have been disastrous, at least in the short term.
Also, all the money in the world wouldn't get Messi to move to Birmingham!

Eh? The five most successful clubs in the PL over the last 5 years are all foreign owned.
Then we smash 'boro on our way to Wembley before losing to Norwich.
