  • gosh the newspapers have a great way of kicking you when you're down
i really don't need anything further to add to my sense of melancholy after sunday

" Liverpool are interested in Manchester United and Colombia striker Radamel Falcao, 29, who is set to return to Monaco in the summer at the end of his loan deal. "

  • Agent talk. Although we certainly do need a striker I'd rather one that can score goals. It sounds like Sturridge is injured again

  • i think it is roys way of apologising for his last bit of shenanigans with studger
agree to a muscle strain studger sits out and roy can't crock him

there is kane too now, so england won't be without hope

  • So I wasn't near a TV/internet at the weekend. I'm glad of that. It seems that Derby and 'Boro can >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>. I was starting to dream big as well.

  • Are you sure it wasn't at Swindon? At least half the people in that photo look like relatives of Pisti

  • Is Dani Foffa branching out?

  • If anything has bummed me out about this season it's been Falcao. Then again when you look at Van Gaal's transfers you can't say any of them have been a real success with maybe the exception of Blind and Herrera. Credit to him for getting players like Fellaini and Young going though.

Got a ticket for Ireland away, I'm an idiot. Good day trip though.

  • but wasn't Herrera a Moyes target? Shouldn't he get some credit for pursuing him, even though the board/chairman botched the transfer at that time.

On a seperate note, enjoying the fact that Simeone has signed up for another five years at Atletico Madrid, he probably won't stay the full term, but keeps la liga interesting for the foreseeable, with them and Valencia hopefully providing a viable title challenge to Barca and Real Madrid, though I'm sure that depends on them both finishing building their stadiums to increase match day revenue...

Also been thinking if Sam Allardyce is actually let go by west ham, whether he'd consider doing a Moyes of a Mclaren and going abroad to coach? He spent time abroad during his playing career in the states, might be that the time is right to see how his skills could be used in another league?

  • Not when there's a host of clubs willing to pay him double of what he'd get in England.

Bilic or Moyes for the WHU job?

  • Allardyce in Europe? Lolz >>>>>>>>>>>>>

"sólo caminé hacia arriba al chico grande"

"juste sabot vers le haut à la grande fella"

"solo lo zoccolo fino al grande Fella"

"nur Huf es bis zu den großen Kerl"

    Can't see it myself.

  • spotted - @mikec in islington yesterday. good to see you dude. i guess we can see if we can get some of the rabble in here out for an end of season piss-up

  • Might as well organise that for this weekend, the season already ended for Liverpool.

  • hey it was the first game of the season, i wouldn't say it's over, it was a narrow 2-1 defeat
we also signed the world player of the year ( hmm sure i read that somewhere ? ) in the off season to aid our attempt top retain the title

    cone on you lady reds

  • Yep nice to see you @jonny would be good to have a few drinks soon

  • Must be nice being so smug with such a sense of entitlement

  • Are you accusing him of being Liverpool fan?

  • West Brom to honour Jeff Astle by wearing replica 1968 FA Cup final kit
    http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/mar/26/jeff-astle-west-brom-1968-fa-cup-final-replica-kit

  • It's great that the PL are happy for this to happen.

I'll be at the game; will be fantastic to see us play in a classic kit.

  • Absolutely. Poignant video too. It's such a worthy cause and about time that it get's more publicity. It's quite often so easily dismissed as something that boxers inevitably get.

Beautiful kit fwiw. They should put it on sale with all profits going to the foundation.

  • Hats off to West Brom for the tribute - Lovely kit will and look great on the day.
    as for Karl Henry WAC

  • Arsenal fans, is Chuba Akpom going to score us a shitload of goals in the next 7 games?

  • He's very highly rated and has a good goal scoring record at youth level, but so far has yet to score a league goal for Arsenal or Brentford or Coventry. If he gets that monkey of his back early he might start scoring more regularly.
