With all the news of fresh knee injuries I should direct you all to a good news story. Our (real) captain, Shaun Barker (ShBa), played football for the first time in 2 1/2 years yesterday after suffering a horrific injury against Forest.
Most doubted he'd ever be able to walk properly again, let alone begin to play football again. It's shown some amazing faith and belief from him and everyone around him to make it happen.
That coupled with the imminent return of George Thorne (GeTh) (he will probably be on the bench for the cup game tomorrow) is some good news for a Friday afternoon.

@bodieanddoyle, does that mean that BFS' attempt to okay more attractive football to placate the fans and the porn barons has failed? Or is it a case of BFS has done his job, got you into the prem, made sure you didn't go straight back down and is now surplus to requirements? Would you keep him?

Right - I'm off skiing now. I'm not going to log in so when I'm back I expect:
a) the acronym thing to have gone away
b) Villa to have beaten Leicester in the cup
c) Klopp to be announced as the new Villa manager -

@bodieanddoyle ps if you're club isn't doing what Southampton did read the guardian article written by (happy hammer) Jacob steinberg above, in thinking ahead if they do get rid of Big Sam then you'll be in the shitter in no time..

How come Blackburn sold so few tickets for the Stoke game? Bit of a shambles really.

Saw a fair few empty seats at the hawthorns too and at palace. Must be the magic of the cup.
Fair play Tim for travelling to Sunderland. We have a good record up there so hope you get to see a performance. Id eye has lifted the spirit in the squad. Far too soon to tell because I thought last week against Burnley was tripe, but perhaps the players realise they have to actually put some effort in to win matches now
Aside from the Carroll (not really) news, I'm hearing some terrible rumours about BFS not being offered an improved contract.
Bilic has been mentioned (no thanks) as well as Colin Wanker.
As I've said elsewhere, I'd rather have Moyes...
