At that price was hoping arsenal could have gone for ba but would have probably had to pay double.
-
• #108253
cb - they offloaded Ba and let Eto'o go. What more does he want? Mourinho has also gone on record that our transfer activity is concluded for this transfer window.

We're already flogging Sandro, so I'm not so sure. Hoping that Poch can lure him our way.
Last time I checked there wasn't a queue to take any of your overpaid players. Unless Levy is willing to take a massive loss on some of his players I can't see them going anywhere. Good thing is that Pochettino has shown that he's capable of working with what he has at his disposal.

AVB wants him at Zenit and he's wanted in Italy as well. We can definitely sell him, but Levy wants £20m for him so that could be the only sticking point.

Guaranteed we've got less overpaid players than you.

We've got one. Torres.

On a more serious note, if a club was interested in a Spurs player why would they offer market value or more? Everyone knows they need to sell which makes Levy's standpoint even more ridiculous.
-
• #108261
Don't really need to sell much though. If we offload one or two out of Dawson, BAE, Siggy, Holtby or Lennon we'll be fine.

We've smashed our transfer record (£6m) with the £10m purchase of Brown Ideye from Dynamo Kiev:

33 goals in 74 is actually the closest we've come to a striker with a half decent goal difference in a long, long time.
Wasn't he kept out the Nigeria WC squad by Shola Ameobi?
George says hi...

George has a gold watch on... He's already dead to me.

salah out on loan to cairo united ?

So the guardian has now got an online gambling venture, if it wasn't for the high standard of football journalism I'd stay clear of that rag as well.

Remy to Liverpool confirmed, £8.5m
Good money that, decent striker
-
• #108267
Yep, that's a great buy. Even if he only manages 10-12 goals per season, that's still good value for money in the current climate.
-
• #108268
Remy is a good deal but he does come with several issues (high salary, injuries and chequered personal history). Should bag them 10+ goals still and can play anywhere across the front 3

That's not what I hear. He also seems to want Champions League football

Morata has gone to Juve but Madrid got their way with a buy-back clause. I think that's the main reason more clubs weren't interested

So Lescott wants out of West Brom after less than a month

Having spent most of his career at small time clubs, bar his spell at City, then you'd think Lescott would know what to expect.
-
• #108274
So you're saying City aren't small time??!

Meh. You're slightly ahead at the bookies'. Whevs, we'll see where he is at by the time the window closes and take it from there.
Don't know why we're trying to sell Sandro or if he wants away. Would rather be stayed...
