Adam Lallana: £25m, 1 Johnson's Paint Trophy with Southampton
Toni Kroos: £24m, 12 trophies with Bayern and a WC
-
• #108204
Yeah but Adam Lallana is English and under 25 so that's worth it's weight in gold apparently
-
• #108205
Yep it's a joke
-
• #108206
Lollana is 26 and Kroos is 24.

Slightly disingenuous. You think if lfc offered slightly more, he'd choose Merseyside over madrid?
What are the differences in wages?
I like that there'll be less inclination for homesickness/unsettlement. Simply, only three teams in this league can complete for such names. We aint one of them. Look at what a big team like united paid for mata & fellaini with cl football. 40m + 30m.Ask arse fans how they felt when Wenger haggled the odd £mill for top drawer players only to miss out. Is ozil worth £40m?
Football, like "time pieces" (aka expensive casios) is a mugs game.

Value is relative. Anyway - he would never have gone to Liverpool so its a bit of an academic argument...

Salary of £185k a week is being reported.
-
• #108210
for who? Kroos?
-
• #108211
obviously
-
• #108212
The Kroos transfer is quite a good deal if you compare it to van Persie. Both had one year remaining on their contact and the fee is very similar. With Kroos being only 24 it makes the deal look even better.
-
• #108213
Probably on less than van persie as well.. Kroos is a good deal full stop.
'Both' spanish teams are looking crazy strong on paper so far

John Alder was known as 'the undertaker' because of his consistent use of the same suit and trench coat. He went to every single Newcastle and Newcastle reserves game, home and away, even if away was pre-season in New Zealand. Unfortunately John and Liam were on MH-17 and were killed.

fucking disappointed with the new spurs kits
-
• #108216
Good preparation for your season then.
-
• #108217
Very good - right in the kisser!
Why are Spurs fans pessimistic?
Because they'll never be disappointed.
-
• #108218
:(
-
• #108219
Yeah, it's not great. The away kit isn't too bad, but the home kit is pretty poor. Anyway, no one reeeeaally cares about the kits, so let's move on.

Finally looks like we've got the George Thorne deal wrapped up. He is way too good for the Championship. Hopefully he stays fit and doesn't fuck his knee up again. We've spunked most of our transfer budget on him.

another year to get your chairman to stand outside the gates of real madrid and offer money for whoever they have to get off the wage bill to make space for new signings..
