  • There was deffo a reason why I put jeez on ignore. Totally shouldn't have looked at that utter bollocks. What a crunt

  • Are you honestly saying that the average non-liverpool supporting fan has a sfot spot for liverpool? Utter bollocks.

I do not know a single person who wants Liverpool to win it, apart from the scouse sycophants in the media. Most right-thinking fans despise Liverpool, it's just the hatred has been dormant for a good few years. It's almost good to have it back.

  • MG and Damo, have some rep.

  • I don't understand why anyone cares which team 'neutral' fans would prefer to win the league. There is no such thing as a neutral fan. I'm a Liverpool fan and I want us to win. I know that non-Liverpool fans are probably indifferent at best, or actively don't want us to win. I also don't care what they think.

  • Whilst I think I would rather Liverpool won it because I pity them, at least with Chelsea they won't be banging on about it for years and years. As for City, it would be nice for them to win just so as whenever they mention it a Utd plastic can pop up and ask: how many times?

  • I'd say "I'm surprised anyone remembers the Bradford fire, cos the way the scouse scum bang on about hillsborough you'd have thought that it was the only football stadium tragedy ever."

You really are pathetic and insulting.

It could have been any one of us that day, any football fan, the same way it could have been any football fan at Bradford v Lincoln in 1985, but none of the families of the Bradford Fire had to deal with the accusation, hate and lies that the families from Liverpool did. Families who have been completely mocked for their grief 'COSP' , or told that they weren't allowed to grieve because 'Liverpool fans were responsible for 39 people dead at Heysel', even though some poor stewarding and another stadium not fit for purpose was also mentioned in the reports, as well as drunken fans.

Today out of all days, please show some respect for the dead and those still living with the tragic consequences.

  • Well. That's Jeez back on ignore.

  • This.

I'm old. There are people on here who are of my age. It's not "banging on" and "whining". The government and the media conspired to cover up a policing mistake, which based their opinion of people who watched football as "disposable".
This, and other policing issues of the time and government in charge (Race riots, Miners strike, Poll tax, Criminal Justice Bill) are in danger of being forgotten or viewed through Boys Own rose tinted Vice journo glasses.

What would you say if it were Bradford winning something in the anniversary of their fire?

Couldn't have put it any better.

  • Having said that, in my opinion there are proper clubs (United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Everton), Kleptocrats playthings (City, Chelsea), standing jokes (Spurs) and the rest.

  • I think most people want Liverpool to win it now if they had to choose between the 3. Apart from bitter Tottenham fans and the odd nutter

I certainly could not think of any other team I would rather not win the league tbh...

  • I certainly could not think of any other team I would rather not win the league tbh...

    Stoke?

  • It's better than you think, being neutral. I'd much prefer Liverpool win the title, as to me their football has been very good and it's refreshing to see a young, bold manager in our league getting it right at his first attempt with a (like it or not) historic club.

The best part of being neutral is swerving all the claptrap rival fans spout about everyone else and every thing.

  • Stoke?

I would rather see Stoke dominate for 10 years than Liverpool win anything but we both know that won't happen...

  • Yeah well Liverpool might win it this season, but give it two seasons and Gerrard will be in the knackers yard and Rodgers / Suarez will be off somewhere else. FIN.

And what will Tim Sherwood be doing? 'Writing' a column in the Daily Express and providing punditry on beIN sports, is my guess.

  • Tim Sherwood could be the new Dalai Lama by then for all I care

  • Not even the ignore function can save me from Jeez's crap:

  • I've met some pretty self unaware people in my time but, to misquote Brian Clough, I wouldn't say Jeez was the most unaware I've come across, but he's certainly in the top one.

  • Not even the ignore function can save me from Jeez's crap:

Haha, that's hilarious. Estate agent to the core...

  • I'd say "I'm surprised anyone remembers the Bradford fire, cos the way the scouse scum bang on about hillsborough you'd have thought that it was the only football stadium tragedy ever."

don't be ignorant, it's not just about that

  • for those that have that guy on ignore what is going on at Villa... Ru?

  • Jeez, thanks for the neg rep too. I know you no longer work as an estate agent, but don't be ashamed of your past, you are an estate agent at heart, it's ok, really, it's the very least of your problems...

  • They'd get more sympathy from me however if they'd occasionally mention heysel and bradford - stand shoulder to shoulder with others affected in similar ways instead of it being all about them all the time. Surely any family affected by bradford will be reminded every time hillsborough is mentioned. Just once it would be nice to hear someone associated with liverpool remember others.

    They. Fucking. Do

You're clearly too blinkered to see it

  • example?

having just googled 'hillsborough disaster bradford' i glanced down about 10-15 search results and come up with two articles talking about how bradford has been forgotten and no quotes from the liverpool camp talking about bradford. Not conclusive by a long way, but I strongly suggest it is representative.

Can you link me to an article which quotes a liverpool player / staff member talking about remembering bradford in the context of hillsborough remembrance?

google and you shall find...from the fans
