I tried a really expensive Japanese one the other week at The Hemingway on Victoria Park Road and oh my days it was incredible. Sunotory Yamazaki 18yo I think. The guy on the bar, who had amazing knowledge from working in gentlemen's clubs, said it was the best he'd ever had. He said I had to try it and poured me a measure free of charge. I took a sip and then we continued to chat, at which point I accidentally knocked the glass and the remainder of its contents all over the bar. Fuck, embarrassing.
this stuff is tasty

I'm not a huge fan; it's a bit too medicinal for me. But I do like the Auchentoshan.

Yeah. Mine's a Batch 36 at just a hair over 60%. Lovely stuff.

Really? Don't get any clove or medicinal hints off any of the Abelour's at all. Stay away from the Island malts then would be my advice.
If you like the Auchentoshan then you're probably also a fan of Jameson's. No?
