  • I've had it before. I like it. That's why I'm getting a bottle. Gimmicky would be including tamagotchi with every purchase.

  • Got a bottle of Ardbeg 10 for £32.63 delivered (Amazon), just in case anyone is looking for a bottle.

  • Buffalo Trace is currently 18 quid in Tesco, proper bargain.

  • also Asda have Bulleit at £20 and Woodford at £23

  • Any good deals on rye whiskeys? Developed a bit of a taste for it.

  • Rittenhouse straight rye is under £25 a bottle.

  • Wouldn't that blow your socks off? Thought cheaper rittenhouse stuff was mostly for making old fashioneds etc

  • Last bottle I bought was from master of malt about two years ago.

  • don't bother with the Rittenhouse Rye unless it's the 100 proof - I bought the 80 proof and it's OK for cocktails, but a bit gutless straight

  • Currently unwinding with Kilkerran. It's doing a bloomin' good job...

  • 8.5/10
    Would bang again.

Also, i recently discovered that wild turkey 101 should generally be avoided if you are in the drinking mood and don't want to get in trouble for being a drunken mess. Have only drank as a sipper up until last week when I had some freinds over. totally knocked me for six.

It's about as strong as a well done moonshine, but smooth as an everyday sipper! Should come with a warning label!

  • Would also like to add that I have just been totally ripped to pieces for posting on an Internet forum about whisky...

  • On an internet bike forum about whiskey.

  • Been enjoying my mates High West Double Rye and Rendezvous Rye the past few nights. Have Bulleit Rye for Christmas to look forward to

  • Bought my Dad a totally selfless bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue as I'm leaving Diageo in a week or two and I've never tried it. Looking forward to that on Boxing Day.

  • Buffalo Trace £17 Waitrose

  • Few spirits small batch Bourbon, distilled and bottled in Illinois. Tasty but quite strong, handle with care I think.

  • Ah glad to hear a review of this Caz! Looks tasty. Was given bottle of Knob Creek 9 year old and it's strong and spicy but still a bit sweet. Great stuff.

Can I make a weird suggestion? Have a nice beer or two to hand and watch the Big Ride on BBC4 catch up and then in the second hour bust open some bourbon and my god that is some wintery magic right there.

  • I'll give it a go, sounds lovely!

  • Received a bottle of Dalwhinnie Winters Gold for Christmas. Supposed to be served from the freezer...... gonna be interesting!!

  • I got a bottle of it as well! Don't want to be a scrooge but I sort of thought it was rubbish - at least over ice...

  • From the freezer and over ice.?
