You like the price of £180 brake calipers?
If I was gonna spend that much I'd pay another £50 (£100 for ti) and get the ZG Negative G's.
In reality though, the DA brakes probably work better. -
• #55
i mean what they weigh, for what they cost looks pretty good to me.
i'm not in the market for super pimpy brakes myself-and i have never tried the kurves, so they could be crap.
but they look nice. -

I'd rather not skimp too much on brakes and I go with what I know (shimano).
Another ZG alternative.. FRM
and another.. KCNC..

Scott has those KCNC's on his storck. They seem plenty powerful.

You're too light to be able to test brakes.
Wet downhill with a fat bastard on board for the brake testing win. -

Shut it tubby.

function and form
I have these, the stock pads are wank but when you swap in some good ones they become terriffico.

Matter of opinion. I like them. I wonder if they'll have a black version though?
Agreed, the new DA groupset is by far the best looking one Shimano have ever produced. On a full carbon sex toy it looks perfect, on a track frame from the 70's it's probably going to look a bit pony.

Do any single speeders use discs?
-
• #67
Or is it impossible?
-
• #68
Perfectly possible.

They are brilliant for stopping, that's their core strength. What they weren't so good at was modulating speed, i.e. when feathering the brakes.
There is a total anorak article here;
http://www.campyonly.com/roadtests/delta.html
I've a pair in my bike bits box, waiting to go on the right frame. And I've two 3.5 mm allen keys.
I have got my hands on a pair of Deltas in nearly mint condition a couple of months ago for 80 euros. They are very nice to look at (the internal mechanism is amazing) but didn't like how they look when installed on the bike.
The once "impossible to get " 3.5mm allen keys are now easily found on ebay for less than two quid.
At the end I decided to sell them on ebay for a profit to get some funds for a vintage NOS frame.

It's not just a hair thinning thing, the desire to buy Campag seems to increase proportionally with age

Have to wait and see I guess. It's clearly not kicked in yet.
