Watched and enjoyed. It's rife with Red Bull trademark slo-mo shots mind. However, I think they're a bit more bearable and cinematic than those in the Art of Flight.
Thanks. -

Pirate movies 4-5 years ago were ok. A little bit of sponsorship $ has helped them up their game no question, and i'm in favour. I would watch anything with gigi in.
This is worth a look - adidas stuff for the japow crew.

Some very silly urban lines.

met gigi and the entire absinthe film crew/team when they stayed at a place called the Whitehouse in Nelson BC. it's next to Whitewater resort and they were doing some backcountry filming there. all super nice, was a bit star struck when I was checking them in.
moving back to canada in the new years. miss it all too much.

My mate at ss20 told me nike were pulling out from making snowboard stuff a couple of months ago. I thought he was talking shit. I know a lot of people didn't like it when they started making boarding stuff but I think it's a shame they are stopping, plus, I'll have to try and find some other boots.
-
• #984
Same goes but in my case it was forum :( my boots are still alright and they fit well but when they die I reckon I'll go back to 32.

scooped last season's endors for £200 when i heard. i never want to ride in anything else. wish they'd kept on with the boots. one of the best snowboarding products I've ever seen and the only boot where my feet feel the same at the end of the day as they did at the beginning.

Hmmm, I have to agree for the most part. However they're a huge company, and, through what seemed like a combination of boredom and a burgeoning need to push the boundaries, they started to produce stupid shit like LED light-up boots.
I liked their simple aesthetic and functional approach to their general gear a lot, but seriously, fucking LED boots? -

Well yes...a bit of fun. It was just a QS release...not a mainstream release and was actually a play on the marty mcfly mag boot from back to the future.
One thing nike have done incredibly well is to bring their peerless back catalogue of retro trainer styles into snowboard boots, just like those jordan III black-cement inspired boots up there...IMO one of the greatest trainers ever made...the AF1 inspired boot is to me a thing of beauty, this years vapen with the classic jordan 1 banned colourway is untouchable, the air max 95 styling on the kaijus...for me all this stuff puts all other boots very very deeply in the shade. With the comfort, technology (lunarlon, etc) and quality also being way above anything I've ever seen in (embarrassingly) 20 years of riding in vans, burton, dc or 32's, the boot aspect is a real loss. I couldn't give a fuck about anything else tbh! Plenty of other amazing and superior outerwear companies (although I do have a nike goretex jacket for wet days :) ) and fuck only knows whose dumb idea it was to stick a tick on a pair of goggles...probably the same dufus who thought sticking 3 stripes on some would be good also. other that boots, i don't think nike has much of a place in snowboarding and i think their relentless pursuit of more of the wider market is what turned a lot of people off. what they did for pushing forward snowboard boots though HAS to have earnt respect and i think its a knee-jerk reaction for snowboard punks to stick two fingers up at anything corporate. if nike stayed in boots, i'd buy them forever, but you'd never catch me riding anything burton! (*unless it was a retro uninc)
anyway, has anyone got anything to say about switchbacks? think i'm going to ditch my rome bindings and finally get on some unions (force or contact pros) but looking at the switchbacks also.

would bang
these would go great with nothing i have!

what they did for pushing forward snowboard boots though HAS to have earnt respect
trudat. I think they had a solid jacket and boot game.
I've heard some awful things about switchbacks, from the mismatched colours to the shoddy plastic-y construction. I haven't actually tried them myself mind. On the other hand, I don't think I've ever heard a single bad word mentioned about Unions.
Edit: Re: Gold Vapens, FUCK NO. Just no. Also, if you own a pair you better be godamn Horgmo on that plank.

That makes them perfect, I have New York Knicks colourway Vapens, nothing goes with blue and orange apart from blue and orange.

• #993
I haz zebra pants, nothing goes with zebra and everything goes with zebra!
-
• #994
Not used switchbacks but I'm sure you already know how long I can talk about unions for.
Have used both force and contact and both are great.

What did you have in the backpack?
Gold will be just fine. But if you use capstraps, I've seen them destroy the toe on vapens at the seam on the toebox. They're not the toughest or the best insulated, but I'm sure they're lovely. I picked up some reflective neon yellows for my mrs for £80 2 seasons back. They didn't match her gear either but pee'd on her vans for riding in so she said.

What did you have in the backpack?
Shovel, avalanche probe, lunch, water.
I've currently got Vans which I love, good to know.

Fair enough. I usually try to avoid wearing a backpack if I can these days...carry the minimum, or I'll use one that sits flat and further down my back. Anything to keep a lower centre of gravity ;) and sit comfortably on a chair
you've got 24 hours to watch this for free, go!
