Anyone interested in some brand new Burton Comeback pants? Bought a size L last season, but realized they were too big after half a day of riding, being a M myself and these having a 'loose' fit already. Went back to the apartment and put it back in the bag.
Bought it for 165 pounds and trying to sell for 75, which is about a tenner below retail sale price.
dibs please if these are still for sale. ..

it appears schumi was wearing a helmet when he smacked a rock, yet he's still in a critical condition
this year was the first that we wore helmets, and tbh looking back, i'm surprised at myself for such boneheaded luddism in years past

What's the scariest snowboarding moment you guys have had?
I think mine had to be yesterday in 'the stash' a snowpark in here in Avoriaz.
I was going at decent speed on a picnic bench feature maybe 4 or 5 foot high when the landing came into view I saw there was a kid on skis of about 5 or 6 years old, I started screaming at him to get out that way but to no avail, I tried to hop as high as I could off of the table and I made over him by no more than a couple of inches.
Had to have a little sit down because I honestly thought I was going to decapitate a little kid, honestly parents need to be more aware of where they take their children and realise that a large terrain park really isn't the place to bring them, if they want to try tricks most resorts have a smaller beginner/children's park, this one sure does.
On a lighter note I also accepted that my board(s) was getting way too small for me so I picked up a Bataleon Whatever 157 Wide.

Def doing a full speed tree run and seeing a 20/25m drop just in time. Straight down on to asphalt otherwise. Strained a muscle by just throwing my body to the ground, took a few days off and dislocated my hip by overshooting a kicker a week later.. Those 2 seconds in the air, flapping your arms and knowing what's about to happen, weren't the nicest either.

Looks interesting, have fun man!

Thanks man, it's not the best quality, but only 2 hrs drive from Athens...Can't wait to jump back into my onesie
Board is a Salomon 165 I've had for about 10 years...I'd upgraded to Thirtytwo TM-Two boots and Forum Team bindings in 2010 and looking to get a new board at some point too, but this setup will be fine for the measly few days I've managed to squeeze in this season

What's the scariest snowboarding moment you guys have had?
Last run of the day, by myself in a gladed run at Whistler I fell and dislocated my elbow. I couldn't get out of my board or stand up, I was deep in the trees, there was no one around and it was getting dark. After about 15 very scary minutes a Dutch couple came down the run, found me and fetched the ski patrol.
The potentially scariest place I've boarded is La Grave with no fresh snow for weeks, but I was with a guide so not a scary experience.

My Dad's got a burton bullet 166 lying around somewhere!

Oh god that could've been bad, I hit a tree in whistler once but luckily I was just widened and bruised a little.

I didn't hit a tree, just lost it on an icy track between the trees and put my arm down to break my fall. Classic way to dislocate the elbow. There had been no fresh snow for weeks; the doctor who saw me said he'd seen loads of concussions and dislocated elbows because of the hard snow. Apparently when it snows it's all twisted knees instead.
My sis was working for a physio in Whistler at the time and I bartered some network admin for physio. They even built me a special brace so I could get back on the slopes after far less time than was really sensible :)

Mad jelly of you lot.
Ive started pestering a Norwegian friend about coming over to hit the slopes. He tells me the snows not arrived yet though!

much interest...is it wide?
-
• #774
I think so, its at my uncles place at the minute and he's a size 13 I think but I'll have to wait until he's home to check.
I'm not sure how old it is.

• #775
Little bit old but good source of stoke-age in the absence of snow. Torstein stomps like no one else...nothin but butta!!
Thanks - you too!
