I'm hoping I'll be able to thread the shoulder pad from my current bag onto it. If not I'm sure a bit of cloth and gaffa tape will fix that

just get one from tk maxx - they'll be just as good but cheaper.
-
• #2831
I doubt they'd have anything with a quick adjust strap
-
• #2832
yeah they will. I got a Manhattan portage one IN MANHATTAN and came back and they had them in tk maxx. at least check it out stu, please.

your bag choice is important to me.
-
• #2834
Lolz. You can always make one anyway, not hard. I'm gonna line all my bags with yellow fabric so I stop losing things...
-
• #2835
OK Neil I will, thanks for your concern

Might be up for that ITM brake lever Tom. Haven't decided if I want one of those or if I'm going to use a crosstop...
Anyone have a 26mm quill stem, between 80-100mm in length (shorter preferred)? Needs to be silver, otherwise condition not that important.
-
• #2838
I have a pair of those same itm levers too.
In case you were after a pair.
I almost definitely have a suitable stem, but Ill only bother to get it out if your taking the levers too.

Not sure if this is still something of interest to the polo players. Twin pull DIY kit:
-
• #2842
Neil, Andy, MG, and I'm sure there are others without decent dual brake setups
-
• #2843
MG's is on the way, Neil has all the bits he just lacks the mechanical aptitude/motivation...
...Andy though, don't get me started.
I'm getting one though, thanks Steve. Should make my bodge-job a bit better, and would theoretically be better than any of the promax things people are using, bearing in mind pretty much everyone uses v/disc brakes.

Plus, for £3 it's gotta be worth a punt :)

Anyone fancy this -** British Eagle rigid MTB - Reynolds 531 £80 for locals** - 15/15.5'' Frame (tbh, a little small for me at 5'7'') Figured might make a good polo whip? Will chuck in a set of slick schwalbe city jet tyres, 22tooth chainring, sprockets and a spare chain so you can change the gearing as you like, Otherwise would make a good pub bike/beater or nice little MTB if you like, it's lots of fun bombing around the canals on it. Reynolds 531 frame so not to heavy either Just given it a service and a clean and is in good working order. Selling to fund project x.

£70** final offer before I start listing it elsewhere - Any takers? -
• #2846
Someone buy this for polo!
-
• #2847
Could we buy it as a group, so we have a spare bike for use when someone's bike is out of action?
-
• #2848
Does anyone have any brake lever barrel adjusters for freecycle/sale? I need two, and I *think *the thread is M7, annoyingly.
-
• #2849
yes, got about 6 with my gyro cables. is it for a double lever?

Yeah, I want to improve my XTR conversion so I got one of those SJS kits that Casasteve linked to, but they have bigger holes than my bodge-job. Can you bring on Sunday?
Strap doesn't look too comfy but could be good. I think they had a different brand going cheap before xmas too. Can't remember off the top of my head though.
