  • We need the loaner mallets from under the Orwell, some balls (I have enough I reckon) and some players.

  • I've got it in my diary so I'm there. Happy to lug some mallets from the orwell.

  • looks like won't be able to make the first one, but i'm in the for ones after

  • I'll be at the first one - not until 7pm though, realistically.

  • OK I printed 20 A3 posters off in work, will do some more later on.

If anyone is bored / not busy in work, if you know / could google west bike shops, cafes, other potential postering places, please put them up here... thanks...

  • One of heythrope works in the hammersmith cyclesurgery, but I doubt they'll be allowed to put things up (pm heythrope? Also might be good to get them to stick it up somewhere at their Uni?), I think a couple of Putney cycles employees used to play... But I don't actually know where the shop is!

  • ^ His name is Jo(e?)

  • These sessions start in one weeks time (Wednesday 14th)!

  • South = Dragon
    North = Phoenix
    West = ?

The new coat of arms of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea whose symbols reflect the history of both boroughs. These include the blue boar of the de Veres, the silver-winged bull representing St Luke, patron saint of Chelsea, a bishop's mitre for St Mary Abbots and a broom representing Brompton. The motto Quam Bonum in Unum Habitare is the opening words of the 133rd Psalm in Latin and translates as 'What a good thing it is to dwell in unity'.

  • ^^ In

Combine the boar and winged bull to make the flying pig?

  • These sessions start tomorrow night, who's up for volunteering?

    1. Jono
    2. Aidan
    3. Kev
  • I'm sad to say that tonight is the only opportunity I have to have birthday drink so can't make it :(

Really gutted. Will definitely be there next week though! Hope it's a good turn out.

  • Also, i'm still on the Chelsea Peddlers mailing list from when the LPC represented at the grass polo tournament a few years ago...

    I got this email yesterday...

    'Hi all,

RBKC are keen to get hardcourt polo going in the borough.

They've booked a floodlight pitch at Westway Sports Centre for ten weeks starting this Wednesday 14th 6pm-10pm.

They are providing hardcourt mallets and a couple of bikes so if possible you need to bring a suitable bike.

There should be some hardcourt aficionados about to help us get to grips with hardcourt rules and techniques.

    Hope to see you there'

  • I gave posters out on Saturday at Halfpipe, Fudges, Evans (they said they would put it up in the staffroom), a place on All Saints Road, a bike "trader" in the market, a few cafes, etc.

I'll be there for 7pm, no earlier.

  • I can bring three mallets. Jono do you have any?

  • I'll collect some tonight, but three extra ones would be good Kev.

Aidan, this is tomorrow, not tonight?

  • oh la la....

let me look at the diary again then... might be able to get down... will confirm. If I can then I'm happy to bring some mallets etc as i'm going for the drink at The Orwell... (everyones invited obv).

  • If anyone wanted to swing by Putney then I've got a couple of mallets that I'm more than happy to contribute and a couple of balls

  • thats so pathetically close to my house i might have to go. it means football on a wednesday will have to fall out the calendar....

I know the lbs's well around here. i'll print out some flyers and throw them up in the shops and better bars/cafes.
Sof is a producer at the BEEB so i'l get her to put it in there news letter. they are just over the way.

FWIW there is the perfect space for a court under the flyover next to the BBC white city offices.

  • Currently don't have a bike, but will be in next week hopefully

  • Was meant to be in, but last league game is taking precedence, will be there next week.

  • Thought that was on Friday? I am confused.

  • In.
    +Glad to see this happening.
