I put that in this morning, to replace the days it doesn't happen. When it's happening again I'll change it to the appropriate day.
Why not just leave it blank?
Alternatively TBC... Some who decided on the threads they read by the subject might be put off reading the west thread, because it says inactive, when nothing at all or TBC (or intact any number of other possible phrases) might allow them to read and perhaps sign up..
You didn't remove Tuesday/Thursday from the NE thread when there were no courts did you?
Are you also the one that removed the weekend from the souths thread title? I'm pretty sure there was a literal agreement to go both north and south alternately on weekends... What happened to that?

Oh got so excited about thread titles forgot to mention that if there's a free place to play polo in Kensington I'd like to know for the sake of lunchtime solo polo.
:)
(jh, hope you realise that if I sound angry, I'm not, it's all cool, just trying to put my point across on the Internet and all that :)

Kensington Polo would be very convenient for evenings after work. Also think there's somebody at CycleSurgery Kensington who casually plays polo.

Will make the trek over if this happens

I did actually (at least for Tuesday, Thursday we played most weeks at walford road).
But fine, I'll remove that again.

Yeah one of the heythrope guys works in the hammersmith cycle surgery, joe I think his name is? Came to souths a while ago with a massive turning circle... I pm'd heythrope too.
Thanks John.

i literally just popped back to check this thread.
Alexis is now an eastie, but a couple of people i have spoken to have expressed interest in starting, but were hesitant due to the distance required to travel to play anywhere else, despite me telling them that there are dedicated beginner sessions.
But essentially, I'm very willing to help out anyway possible

Someone just choose a location and time already?
A park with lights we can play on, any suggestions?

• #4893
The free sessions (volunteers needed) won't start until March I reckon, but feel free to rejuvenate Wests in the meantime?

There's a floodlit pitch in St Luke's Gardens, I used to live over the road from it... Pretty sure it's council and needs to be booked tho'... Who wants to check it out?

Correction: Two courts... They may be spongy stuff now, it's ages since I had a close look...

Ok, so West London Polo is back (with support from the local borough), the first session will be: Wednesday March 14th (5-10pm) at Westway Sports Centre near Ladbroke Grove. There will then be a session ever consecutive Wednesday for 10 weeks. All the sessions will be free to attend.
Bikeminded will be promoting the sessions to the local community as much as possible, but if you know any potential West London players that need a decent reason to try polo then give them a nudge.
One of the Chelsea peddlers has agreed to come along to see what hardcourt is all about and the only requirement now is some volunteers, balls and loaner mallets (whilst the sessions are in their infancy), new players will be asked to bring a bike along.

Indoors?

Nope, the Westway MUGAs, they should be perfect for polo if they're in good nick.
Fine, but it would still be polite to remove the "currently inactive".
Also, if Kensington is go I could be interested (not far from Mister Lemons place, and been meaning to start playing again...)
