  • Lynx must be over there now.

    Why?

  • I was wondering where he had gone.

You heard of a life? Believe me I have not thought of you once.

  • .

  • Didn't they do a corporate exchange project where the engineers from Ford went to Aston and the guys with the tracing paper from Aston went to Ford?

Who did ford own? Hence share idea across platforms.

  • 6r4s are scary. 205 all the way.

Scary? amazing feat of engineering. Have a looking in one if you get the opportunity. They were hand built and had the roll cage bars inside the A, B and C posts. Thing the only non hand crafted bit was the roof that was attached by riveting machine I think. But its been a few years. There is one at the motor museum by Gaydon.

Bit different from the 1000cc mini metro.

Ironic as we've all missed you hugely.

  • .

anyway, an acquaintance was racing at silverstone this weekend, formula jedi, bloody fast (~140mph) 1000cc motorcycle engined single seaters, very impressive in the slippery wet/dry conditions experienced up here

    Meh. (Styling gone wrong)

    ^Want.

  • Why can't these single seater classes just pinch the design of 1970s Lotuses or something iconic like that, so at least they look nice.

At a guess, crash resistance/occupant safety

^Now that I've got you, let's both revisit the birth of The Doyle Carte Opera Company...

  • Land Rover DC100 concept
supposed to be a competitor for the mini countryman
    thoughts?

    personally I hate it

  • It's fucking ugly. And it still looks bigger than an SJ

  • It looks a bit silly proportions wise

  • oh and also a question. What would be the cheapest way to insure a car for a 17 year old? Register it on the isle of man?

  • Get them a job as a financial advisor or as a care nurse. Pretty much any car is going to be at least £1500 to insure.

  • its for me, but for a 4k mini cooper sport 1999?

  • is there no way to cheat the system?

  • Buy the car for cash in a pub car park, get some plates made up that match a kosher car, drive around for free.

  • ^ Only way not to pay a ridiculous amount of money.

  • Ok ok I know im sounding like a pretentious little yuppie, but this is the only forum I like to post on and want to know from them!

How about as a second driver?

It'll sell loads and do great things for landrover jaguar.

Doesn't look right to me, almost like a cheap knock off toy car.

  • Get something like a Matiz, it's horrid, but you need some no claims.

I put my father, my mother, my girlfriends father and mother, and my girlfriend on my insurance, and it knocked ~£1,300 off the premium.

Keep adding older people until the premium stops going down.

  • oh thats interesting, will start asking. And no, I am not driving a daweoo. ever. Living in central means that going by car is slower in most occasions, so id like it to be nice :P
