I've had my first CEL which went away before I could get the code reader on it. I think I need new HT leads but hard to say without seeing a code.

It's 5x120 so been looking at BMW wheels with a better offset to try and get the wheels flush with the arches

Car looks fantastic, very well maintained, original paint in great shape, no rust apart from a tiny bit on the muffler and surface rust on the brake rotors. The brakes felt a bit spongy compared to what I'm used to but it drove well. It actually feels better than my XV, feels tighter, less sloppy.

Timing belt was done at ~100,000kms and it's had Japanese safety checks every year since 2011. No service history just an export form with the last two MOTs listed and the manual.

I'm gonna take it a bit further. It's really cute, I'm smitten. He's offered me a year's warranty at the asking price.

My mechanic mate has looked at the pics and told me to leave it. Too much saltwater corrosion on the underside and engine bay, muffler is cactus, fucking spoilsport. 😭

would anyone like these roof vars for free? the reason i cant use them is they cant take the thule bike rack but they will take roof boxes. They are compatible with non flush raised roof rails.

Sad times. But the right decision.

I went with heart over head on a couple of older cars and really ended up in money pits that I could never get right.

I am a little crestfallen. I just really need to get rid of my XV before the registration comes around, the buyer will have the cash this week.

I spotted this on the way home from walking the dog, I'm gonna have a look at it tomorrow. Totally different beast but will be just as much fun but in a very different way.
