  • Cefiro was officially imported in to the as the QX. Luxo barge and with a few dents worth little, also rusted quite well.

  • 6 wheel G-Wagon, or normal and a spare?

Makes me laugh either way - I wonder what the point is of paying for power and handling when the bit of the car that is actually connected to the road is dogshit.

  • SLK55 AMG - my pal Mo spotted the tyres but the whole thing would’ve needed anything between £5-10k to get it tidied up. We walked away...

  • On this note I wonder how bad the fabled chain and tensioners issue is on the Audi B6 S4. If it's overblown that's a lot of cheap power. An estate too!

  • Fairly certain those drink oil and snack on rear suspension bushes as an amuse-bouche

  • Just keep a 2L bottle of oil and an Aldi carrier bag of bushes in the boot, easy

  • Easily fixed with improved parts and the suspension can be upgraded. Yes it'll cost a few grand, but you end up with a still solid car, still good interior and a hefty shove of power. Which can also be easily increased.

  • Haha I'm probably buying a b6 s4 in a couple months. They will have yanked the motor and replaced everything back there. Hope the finished product is impressive and clean because won't be buying it otherwise. I have my doubts.

It's not that easy to increase the power though, is it? It's a NA v8. You'd have to add some kind of forced induction to get anywhere without increasing displacement, wouldn't you?

Anyway I'm getting either that or a Golf R with coilovers and wheels.

Inclined to go with the Golf.

  • Seat? Better styled imo.

  • Squints eyes, Ah crap, I'm thinking of the twin turbo V6 2.7... whatever series that is. Oops

  • You can increase NA power but it’s orders of magnitude more expensive than with a forced induction motor. Cams, intake, exhaust, valve size, porting the head, ITB’s vs single throttle, increase the rev ceiling and yes- boost the displacement. We’ve done all of these on the M96 motor.

Fitting a bigger turbo and injectors would have taken a couple of hours and been maybe a couple of % of the NA cost.

  • Remap and a new airbox for a few hundred quid and a golf r will be at 350ish bhp.

  • I don't understand the perception of Audi interiors.
My old S60 (which was just concurrent with the B6) had a much nicer interior than this.

  • Have to say. My elcheapo Qashqai has a v nice interior on a par with my old A4. All the mod cons too. For a spezial price. 😎

  • Just needs a bit a JDM tuch loik.

  • Needs Sunnies and lift kit... Does it come in black?

  • It does! I am surprised there are not more after market options for such a common familam suv.

  • Remap and a new airbox for a few hundred quid and a golf r will be at 350ish bhp.

Exactly - my estate is a remap away from 700bhp.

  • Cheese and crackers! 800bhp Datsun 1600!

  • Wasn't there a supercharger (twin) one?

  • I think it was an S4 Chris Harris had chipped to match the RS4 for about £300

  • Edit: he did it to a later supercharged V6

  • And blew the transmission up!

  • Awesome. !

Reminds me of a late 70s Honda Accord CVCC I had for a bit. This exact colour but in much better shape.

Not the exact car, but the pic represents the "Gold" colour option we had. Great fun to learn to drive stick with.
