  • They stick you on an earlier crossing If they can

  • F56? Great car. What do you want to know?

  • Cheers dude. Saves me belting down there and then driving around in circles looking for a way to kill time.

  • The car celebrates the new bulb by throwing the engine light. Full dpf again. Tried to force a regeneration by revving for a long while but failed three times. Gonna give it a bottle of some kind of magic juice that solved it last time, but then it’ll be mechanic time and possibly the end. Not spending £1500 on it.

  • Yeah. Is it engaging? Does it need wider rubber? Is there too much technology? Is the steering numb? Does it feel like a gimmick? Anything really.

    Edit

No idea how I haven't come across this before. Basically answers my questions.

  • There’s a cafe place you can park up at and wait in (pre-Covid at least) but it’s pretty grim.

  • Very very nice. Love the colour of that too. Good work dude

  • I'm allowing worst case scenario travel time so I could be there for an hour or more. It'd be neat if I go travel earlier but I guess licking the walls in a dodgy cafe will suffice.

  • The waiting area is open, but subject to social distancing measures, and circulation control. It’s also 100% not worth going inside unless you need a piss.

When you get there the automated barrier will give you the option of the first train it can put you on, or the one you booked. Select which one appeals and hand the tag that it prints off your rear view mirror.

  • Is there a big enough difference between a T5 and a T5.1 to make the latter worth a premium?

  • Always loved these, those wheels... 👌

  • There was a selection of shops and fast food coffee. But they were all shut. Arrows on floor directing people to toilets.

There was both hand washing and sanitiser.

  • BBS Japan have sent my rear wheels, ordered October 2019, but have forgotten to put my front wheels, also ordered October 2019, in the container.

  • I thought BBS went BB bust?

  • Chapter 11 or equivalent I think. I can see why they went bust now, in great detail.

  • Next shipment might be Christmas, but might not be. They won’t air freight two wheels.

  • Damn. What is it with you and deliveries? Are you cursed? Did you accidentally wall up a voodoo doll in your flat? Ancient bones under the parquet?

  • Forest Hill is, as I understand it, a huge barrow.

  • It is the only way

  • What's a Mk1 Kangoo (or equivalent) MPV like noise-wise at motorway speeds?

Big echoey rattley box? Surprisingly ok?

  • Big sidewall tear in a 225/40/18 92Y. Had to buy a new pair, annoying as the non-fucked one is only 1/3rd through its life.

Went for Conti Premium Contact 6 tires because I couldn't be arsed to think through the pros/cons of cheaper/mid-range tires. But, for next time (or the rears which are 255/35 and expensive) what does the hive mind think about cheaper tires?

  • It's the only thing directly holding you on the road, don't skimp.

  • Used to have Conti on the Avant.

I went with like 4 like TOYO Proxes.

    V impressed. Harder wearing too.
