  • Just to show I haven't completely given up I do still own this thing which I've owned for nearly 15 years now. She's a sweet little motor.

  • Been feeling a bit glum after my prang the other day... My shift finished early today so I popped to the shop, parked up and spotted an immaculate Mazda3 SP23 opposite, gothed out, very nice in a cheap, sad dad kinda way... Got to the other side of it and both doors on one side were totally caved in, totally bolloxed... I immediately felt much better about my own situation... 😇

  • Knowing that the previous owner done an oil service and changed a rear caliper on his driveway, I'd like to get my new car looked over before a big trip to Ireland next month.

Does anyone have any recommendations for good mechanics, preferably bmw specialists in South East London?

Munich legends aren't too far away, but if there's someone closer to Camberwell that would be ace!

  • Where does Fixedwheelnut work?

  • A friend has just used a place near Putney Bridge, he was happy with the work and they have all the BMW kit. Chelsea Autoworks. I know it's not SE London, just throwing it out there.

  • Wrong side of London, but I'd always plug https://technosport.co.uk/ as they have been decent and are mechanics rather than "technicians". George is great. They do a lot of higher end stuff inc. racing, but happy to do the boring bits too.

Sad to see google throws up a judgement against them from BMW for IP infringement, which must be tough for a small business.

  • brockley park cars (who are no longer in brockley, but sidcup) were good. they looked after our bunkies

  • He does tubes now, which is annoying to me as I've joined the club just too late to pop down to Ruxley and say hi, but probably a little more fun for him. @Colm89 There's a BMW specialist just behind the Chandos on Brockley Rise, no idea how good they are though.

  • Winner, do you know the garage?

  • This is like a Delorean that's just teleported from the day it rolled off the production line in 1985. A mint Alfa GTV6. Love the wheels.

  • That's beautiful.

  • Cleveland street. It is lovely.

    Haven’t seen it move recently

  • @soul it looks too mint to be broken down, but its an Alfa so you never know :)

Another mint old Italian classic spotted nearby, Evo2 Delta Integrale.

  • If you look at the parking lines and wheels in your pictures and mine (from two weeks ago...) it’s definitely been moved. I just assume it’s a weekend driver for someone who owns a flat there...

  • yeah that is a beauty.

  • With an old / decrepit and child at University,
I really cannot afford a 3rd money pit of a Classic Car.
Wouldn't have a clue the location of that dealer,
just as a child was always intrigued by the rare style of the Corsair
    and,
the oddness of its V4 engine.

  • New (old) car has an aux in 3.5mm jack in the oem stereo. When I plug my phone into it it auto switches to ‘aux’ but I get no sound.
Radio and CD player both work fine. Volume is defo turned up on phone and stereo. Tried two different cables and two different phones.

Any thing else I can try?

  • It is the v6 too. The wheels, I think, are the oe ones. These I think were similar to the one fitted to the later gtv.

Edit: The wheels are OZ monza 3 piece wheels fitted to the gtv and 164.

  • Speaking of Alfa, what is this? Spotted ages ago, Greenwich...

  • Oooh nice, bloody nice whatever it is.

My mates cousin had the GTV6 Cloverleaf version in British racing green that looked and sounded amazing. I remember occasionally being driven around in it, amid pounding early house and techno, when we should have just listened to that engine. Me in the back with my knees around my ears, despite its looks a spacious bike friendly hatchback it is not. He loved it so much he shipped it at great expense from the UK to New Zealand where he and it now live. Funnily enough he also shipped over his other car, an Evo 2 Delta Integrale. Jammy bastard. CSB.

  • It's a Barchetta, I think.

  • Whatever it is, it looks made for the "Newly-divorceds" segment.

(Bloody nice car it is too. Lucky owner)

  • Saw some nice front driveway ‘projects’ on a wander around E11 yesterday. Lotus Carlton looking particularly sad.
