  • He did. It broke down on the motorway.

  • Tried to fit my replacement downpipe yesterday, turns out it doesn’t fit. Anyone know why the one I bought has a kink but the one I have currently fitted is straight?

  • All the tradies down here buy ford rangers now.

Two of my colleagues have got identical massive-fuck-off Ford Rangers... They've both got desk jobs, natch...

if anyone wants to watch the onboard from the morgan at silverstone. slippy slippy! not quite as fast as the metro^^^, but not bad for the first time moving under it's own power in 30-odd yrs.

check the spin at club: 9:30 in. and 18:25

  • The one at 9.30 looked a bit close to the Armco for comfort!

  • So slidey. Has it got historic tyres on too?

  • i know! imagine jamming it into a wall without even reaching 10 mins...

  • We test drove this one today, my mate is going to buy it we think. This drove back is gonna be real uncomfortable, my head is in constant contact with the roof. Might try pick up a bucket seat and bolt straight to the floor.

  • Or tie a pillow to your head?

  • The power move would be to cut a hole in the roof.

  • Nah, put a big bulge in the roof. Would look real pro.

  • I fit into mine fine, at 187cm - how tall are you?

  • Is in an air cooled 650?

  • How about a hole, and then a big roof scoop over the top?

  • Drove another amarok today. A ‘13 with the 8spd auto. Huge difference compared to the ‘11. Auto was nice, much less road noise. Very tempting.

  • Now that’s a brilliant idea.

  • Exactly! Gurney bump.

  • I’m not really sure, maybe a couple of CM taller. I hit my head on the unpadded reinforcement bar on the roof.

  • Anyone got any use for this Bose 6 cd radio double din hobby before I bin it. Works fine just pulled it out my mx5. Freecycle

  • Me dropped teh readies on a twin air over weekend fo missus run abouts.

I might have to rag it inbetween.

  • My mum has one. It sounds pretty rorty when you give it some stick, and you have to give it plenty of stick because of it's small capacity. It does go surprising well for such a small engine though. Good fun!

  • sweet. you need one too.

And I reckon bucket seat is the way to go.

  • So, we drove to the ass end of nowhere to pic up a fiat for me. Got there and on the test drive it didn’t want to go into 3rd or 4th gear, decided to take a gamble and offer 1200 PLN as it was advertised for 2000, we eventually settled at 1300 or around £270.

This model has different seats and my head doesn’t quite touch so that’s a bonus.*

On the drive back I realised if I push Down on the gear lever like I would for reverse I could get it to go into 3rd and after a while I was brave/stupid enough to try for 4th which worked intermetnatly. Currently 1/3 of the way back to Warsaw where it will sit tonight for us to look at the shift linkage tomorrow.

*but the seat doesn’t go back far enough and in 1st the gear knob hits my calf as in second my thigh!

Edit: had a bit of a scare on a roundabout where my right foot was a little heavy, the back end skipped out quite beautifully. bloody hard to drive these things wearing boots...
