Ha! Not sure what's going on there

My neighbour has a Phateon (sp) Saloon with that engine I think. It's the size of a superyacht and about as expensive to maintain.

6.something, 455HP
75hp/litre... Is that all?

Yup! - cleverer than it sounds though. Bloody thing did 19mpg (dinky US gallons) with my dimwitted driving. Incredibly characterful lump.

Holy shit. Nice one

Not without it's problems but I scored it for 1800 which I'm pleased with. It's got some pitting from surface rust in quite a few places but I'm planning to give leading a go to fill the little dimples because I hate the idea of body filler but it's not bad enough to warrant cutting out and welding new metal in.
The headlamps aren't corrected for driving on the RH side of the road but that's no bother because I wanna add the dual round lamps anyway.

This is the same 8sp ZF as in the BMWs, right? I've heard very good things.
Where've you been that you had a rental? Looks like you're on some sort of work wine-based jolly.

There can't be many of these, a mate of mine who spends a lot of time on the road said he saw one of these at the weekend, might be the same one. Looks like a standard Passat apart from the wheels.

Much bigger wheels than standard without a complementary lowering is what I am assuming.

Nice choice, saw this on IG.
How come you're doing so many miles these days?
-
• #34920
That Lancia seems to be doing 10mph whilst stationary.

How much would one expect to pay for an aircon re-gassing? Going to get the V50 in for that and to have a look at the aforementioned tyre/brake issues.

I'm working at warner brothers so my standard commute is 40 miles plus more if we're on location.
Gives a good excuse to own a car as they pay mileage.

Nice, that side profile is awesome

1800 seems extremely cheap. Prices I've seen are between 20,000-80,000 USD. You haven't commented on the condition of mechanicals. Amazing car if it works out well.
Regardless of condition, I can't imagine commuting in it in LA though. Exhausting enough in a newer manual.
Edit: that doesn't look like LA. Either way I don't understand the low price and I hope it works out well. Awesome car.
Has it been lifted?
