  • Ima let u finish but...

  • Hallelujah!

  • Fukin Canadians.

  • Fun fact: I've been on that sofa. With Ed off Wheelers Dealers and manky-haired comedian Ross Noble. I was setting up a stall at Goodwood and Noble was doing something promotional with the Suzuki bikes stand opposite and Ed rocked up on the sofa.

  • Been back in the UK 24 hours and I've already won another piece of shit car on eBay.

Running, driving and MOT'd until august 2017

  • Golf mk1 pickup or go home

  • Yeah but £72

  • let's see what £72 buys?

  • Jesus! £72. Can't wait to see what that gets you. I miss the UK and cheap cars.

  • Is that below scrap value?

  • Pics or it didn't happen..

  • Did 2 sessions at Bedford in a new Focus RS yesterday. Absolute riot of a car.

  • Tried to post a pic in the first post but it didn't come through.

  • Did you get to try out the "Drift" mode?

  • That looks great for £72! An Ax is about the only old school french hatch we haven't had in the family but I can guarantee that it'll be fun to drive and will feel wayyy faster than it actually is.

  • I'm sure, being the 1l 3dr model it's only around 640KG curb weight which is the same as a classic mini but this has a fair bit more power and far better aerodynamics I'm certain it'll be an absolute riot.

  • New focus rs = absolute riot
£72 Citroen ax = absolute riot.

    Therefore, why waste £30,600?

  • Yeah I did give it a go but I didn't really know how to get it to work properly, I only really achieved big angle power slides about 3 or 4 times.

What was interesting was that drift mode seems to limit your slide time, it allows much bigger angles but after a second or two it straightens it up, whereas in track mode you can slide smaller angles but for much longer.

My mate whose car it is was much better with drift mode but he still felt limited whereas he managed to link one of the S bends in track mode.

The dampers are way too stiff, we had to turn off sports dampers (damping level is independent to driving mode) because it was bobbing even on Bedford's super smooth surface. I felt a bit ill from nodding.

  • Brands is nearest to me, but what track would be recommended for bimbling round in the Porsche (i.e. I've not driven a RWD car on track for nearly 20 years and so large run off areas would be good!)

  • That's awesome, apparenty the most aerodynamic cars at the time, very underrated.

  • Rockingham would be fun and they do a lot of weekends too.

  • Rockingham is £165 for car and driver, then £25 per additional driver. Anyone fancy being driver 2?
