ha! rather presumptuous of you ;]
Not at all, egomaniacs such as myself would never make statements like that if they weren't certain of the facts. :P

@ mccarthy....^ yes but the vantage specs are somewhat different, the Aston's primarily are very similar spec wise and I suppose you need to question why the vanquish and DBS is considerable more expensive?... the DBS is the first production Aston to make extensive use of ultra-light carbon-fiber body panels, the V12 is hand-built producing 510 bhp, a top speed of 191 mph and a 0-60 mph in 4.1 seconds, considerabley quicker then its baby brother the vantage..and dont get me started about the difference in suspention... :] ...sigh... " dear Santa" .....
I was talking about the older Vantage, big british muscle car, as opposed to the softer new Vantage, I hate that they have the same name, for that reason.
Ford GT...cough cough.. so many probs with this one....
GT40 =P
The GT is the new heavier, higher, longer version, not the Le Mans winning version, though to be fair, the GT isn't all that bad, it's road legal so it's not gonna be as hardcore as the GT40, plus, it handles pretty well, the suspension was set-up by the guys from some british company, think their name begins with L...

@DMC now that is a lovely thing, can't beat a good rally based road car, i'd do anything for a Stratos or Delta
@Bellezza modern Fords are pretty decent, however the 70's/80's ones were fantastic, you need to sit down and watch a few episodes of The Professionals and The Sweeney =P

I grew up mainly around Fords and Holdens when I lived in NZ , there is always that strong rivalry between them, when I was 18 my bf at the time had a Ford Capri, it was a dog and I got my 1st real dislike for fords, then I too owned a ford ( telstar) which was also a lemon, my father bought me a VN Berlina ( Holden) for my 21st and I was sold... that was until I was 24 and experianced the likes of BMW, Audi etc...
oh, ive never watch those shows but Ill take a look

Ford Capri? ...dog?!?!
I shant have that said!
My favourite Ford and the first car I ever drove, it'll always have a special place in my heart =P
I assume the Telstar would be a bit of a lemon though.

She might be talking about the newer Capris? They were convertibles or some shit weren't they?
As well as not having a roof they were also utter utter piles of shite. -

That's such a big problem with the car world nowadays, the "remakes" supposedly the new Mini isn't all that bad, it'll never be as good as the old one, same with the new 500, however the Beetles, Vantages, Capris and all the rest of them are a horrible mark on the originals, how hard is it to come up with a new name?
