sounds interesting. Not sure if I'll actually get one to be honest. Its an ex demo, but still pricey.
Am going to trade in the Scciroco and get something on a lease plan to free up some of the equity tied up in the rocco for a little project i got on the go. Just thought i'd have a go for shits and giggles. It may end up being a costly giggle though! -

RE: Looks interesting - spigots in the water jacket...
OK - I'm interested ;-)
It looks like a lot of work for a marginal benefit.
Do you have any more info please. -

Cycling home tonight i spotted this parked up near Liverpool St. Here is the history of the car. Not something you see every day!

Get adaptive cruise control
My new [base model] Golf has this and it's amazeballs. It makes motorway driving a bit of a pleasure.

wonder if that ferrari was out for a marketing / free advertising tour !
or some prospective buyer from the city wanted to see it -
• #22489
Yes I thought the same. It wasn't a high traffic parking spot so i figured some banker wanted to take it for a spin. What a beautiful thing.

You can just about see what looked like space-saver wheels, painted to resemble bottle caps.
Oh and the blue is some sort of carbon effect wrap.

My T4 is back on the road! Boxing Day it slowed down on me and then the brake pedal went solid - got recovered to a local garage where they replaced the brake master cylinder - £350 - because the MOT was due the week after, I left it there for them to do that - it failed miserably on welding, welding, welding, 1 illegal tyre and three close, perished front brake pipes and some other random things (one of the indicator bulbs had 'faded' and was now the wrong colour??)
Anyway, had a ton of welding done last year at which point he said it would 'sail through' this year, so was not impressed - qouted me well over a grand including new set of tyres - but then basically said he didn't want to do the work as he 'hated rust' - which was great. So anyway long story short, found a guy through a mate in the local Lambretta club who has done the welding for me - £200 - new tyres all round £340 - brake pipes £30 plus £90 labour for garage to fit at MOT, plus a set of indicator bulbs - £5.49 - £665 instead of the 1K mark
so now have hammerited along the sills, needs a wax and polish - need to get the wheels off and take the surface rust off the wheel hubs and grease, paint the calipers and also plan to waxoyl the underside
it's got some bubbling paint on a couple of wheel arches, and one of the front ones is going through - what's the best filler these days? I've used Isopon P38 before, but I'm hearing polyster fillers are now the go? Cheers

Anyone got a contact for a decent London-based Audi/VAG specialist? Apart from RAC. Need a couple of bits looking at.
Also, well jell of anyone looking at a Golf R, Evo love it

Geezer in Hampton always been good to me... JP Garage.
Feedback from a friend who has one:
Get adaptive cruise control
It's surprisingly quick (he had a modded S3 and he says the R is quicker)
A little bit wallowy around bends but made up for by being comfortable
"Don't boot it out of junctions as you catch the car that just passed you way quicker than you think and almost rear end it"
