Leaky carbs in the vicinity of high-tension electrics, I think. That and a big sheet of highly flammable GRP right above the carb. Once GRP gets going it takes an awful lot to put it out. It took 6 full-size extinguishers to put this out:
...is that a Phoenix?

Nope, Fisher Fury.

Just found one of these round the corner from Chambers. Bonus points for anyone who can identify it:

Tesla announced that they will release a Model 3 in 2017 which will be under $35,000 (~£21,000).
That will be a real game changer.

Very good. Took me a while to work it out.

A Norwegian client of mine took delivery of his in April. I was shown around it when I was in Oslo in May.
They're really well made, inside and out but at £70k starting price... they're still too expensive to change peoples attitude to electric cars.

Must be my day for seeing unusual cars - rode past a McLaren MP4-12C on the way to KGX this evening.

You might be right. It would out it in line with the current bmw i3.
I was a whisker away from buying one of those before getting the 2 series that's arriving next week. It was only 50 miles in range from letting me get to Birmingham for the football.
In three years time, my new car will be 100% electric.

In other news, our car is dead - thanks to an incident my girlfriend has told me not to talk about or post pictures of. Suffice it to say that she's killed it, but is OK. Looks like I'm not going to Snowdon this weekend, or Dirt Quake, as planned.

Which car was that? Write Off?

She's a bit bruised and nervous about driving again, understandably.

What about the missus?

Nope, Fisher Fury.
Wasn't sure if it was a Phoenix/Fury/Stylus.
I imagine much embarrassment would be had if it were a Phoenix.

To be fair, it did rise again from the ashes. It got badly shunted in a big crash at Snetterton though, after the original owner/builder had sold it.

Anyone interested in a cheap MR2 (W30)?
120k miles, black w/ red leather. CD player etc. MOT / Tax for 10 months. Pics plus full specs to follow.
Cheapest I can find on AutoTrader for one over 100,000 miles is £1,450 so £1,300 ono?
It's my mums so hasn't been harshly treated etc.

barely worth doing that injector cleaning, was it? I guess modern fuels with detergent additives are pretty good and keeping injectors clear.
Holy balls that is awesome.
In other news, I have now fitted my new engine, just finishing putting all the ancillaries on. Should be starting it up for the first time this afternoon.
Cant wait!
