23mpg for the Piglet, 25mpg for the Scooby. Both on SUL. Happily, SUL is still cheaper than milk.

Been babysitting the Porsche over Christmas. Does better mileage than the MX5...
Wut. My old 5 got better mileage than my Ma's 1.2 Fiesta. That said, the Fiesta fucking drinks and then some for some reason. Always has.

And I used to welly the fuck out of that 5 more often than not, as I am young, and invincible.

MX5 is supercharged. Drinks it down.

Shiiiet, I'd say it's well worth it though. Always wanted to turbo mine for some more get up and go but the funds were never there or even close. I'd have another in a heartbeat, that or an S2k will be my next motor.

23mpg for the Piglet, 25mpg for the Scooby. Both on SUL. Happily, SUL is still cheaper than milk.
My left hand bonnet catch failed to latch, leaving only the right hand one to do the job.
This restricted me to ~50 mph until I could find a services, which resulted in nearly 40 mpg yesterday, briefly.

You can see your face in the front discs:
But not in the rears (if you can make them out):
I know that the fronts do the vast majority of the work, but I was kind of expecting semi-equal wear. Dreaming?

in New Zealand right now, rented me a lil suzuki splash.
The roads are actually amazing, completely smooth, twisty and empty

Potentially looking at cars for the summer, but the insurance is way higher than i imagined it would be, i'm sure i was looking around this time last year at it was ranging from 900-1400 or so but now im looking at 1600-2200 depending on the car
ive had my license since september 2010, im 22, never had any points or anything, been on my mums car for 3 years but no NCB or insurance of my own
I want a car I can fold down the back seats and fit a bike in sans wheels, but other than that unfussed, sub £1k
whats cheap and what if anything would bring insurance down..?

Look at bigger motors. Superminis are crashed by kids, and attract high premiums. Check quotes on cars usually bought by the maturer driver.

^^ are you in London? That some crazy prices. £1400 for 911 insurance doesn't seem so bad now. How about http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1998-NISSAN-MICRA-GX-AUTO-SILVER-6Mths-MOT-6Mths-Tax-Excellent-Condtn-50kMlges-/121237012704?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item1c3a4a00e0

Work out how much the train will cost you. might end up cheaper and easier to get the car, depends on how often you visit

burgess hill?
-
• #18517
cars definitely the more expensive,
the petrol cost is equal to train+tubes
so its generally wether its worth paying the insurance now, as it doesnt seem to be going down anytime soon without NCB

You can't be unaware that Manchester is TWOK&crash-ville?
A lot of insurers simply won't cover a manchester address.
