Brilliant - reminds me of the turbo 2CV from years ago. Makes me nostalgic for my old one.
Love the bumper sticker at 2'30'' - 'what could possible go wrong!'. Let's see, you're in a BMW and being overtaken by a 2CV!

still doing the revs thing and I've noticed an intermittent clicking noise coming from dash area, sounds very much like a switch noise.....quite random, but seems to click when giving it a bit of revs, but not every time........

Yeah, I think it's good that they've left most of it standard to see how it all copes with the increase of power. If something does die quickly they can tell others/customers that X needs changing

Obviously it might be something completely sinister and I could be wrong.
The Mech who works on my Golf said that he recommends changing the plugs every time it's serviced because of how badly the fuel is refined.
Any better if you run multipoint or platinum plugs?

Stupid question, how many miles have the Injectors done?
When was the last time the fuel filter was changed?

Some people talk about back flushing the injectors but part of me wonders about it.

dunno, if fuel filter is part of schedule for servicing? perhaps it hasn't been, and injectors certainly not in my ownership

I was advised against using multipoint plugs years ago because combustion isn't quite as good and consumption is dramatically affected.
I bought the most expensive ones I could find in the city and gave them to the mechanic.

One fat spark > 4 piss-weak onesMy old 190E required Non-Resistor plugs, which became increasingly difficult to find.
Then I discovered The Green Spark Plug Company and it was happy days from then on. -

Except for the hummers!

There are hundreds of them here. I sat next to one in my (small by comparison) euopean hatchback and this thing just dwarfed everything else on the road. A guy parks one downstairs and takes up two parking spaces, so I parked in his space and he left a note on my car explaining that I was occupying his space and not to park there again.
He was clearly a local, so I got one of the boys in work to write something in arabic explaining that not one of the spaces downstairs were actually allocated and that I would park wherever I felt. He took exception to this and left another note stating that he didn't care - they were where he liked to park and he had no objection to me parking there as long as I parked in a way that would allow him to park his beloved Hummer.
I now make a point of parking diagonally across these two spaces...

One fat spark > 4 piss-weak onesThere seems to be a lot of missinformation/understanding about multi point spark plugs. Its not 4 sparks at a plug, the current will take one path, the path of least resistance. In a four point plug it just has four options instead of one. This means less wear on the plug hence lasting longer. The flame propogation is the same.
In some engines there are other reason such as reducing a hot spot in the piston combusion surface or higher compression as the plugs are physically shorter

Proper hummer or the H2 H3 ones?

One of those comedy H3 things, but there is a bloke at the office who drives an ex-military version.
