  • Suprised this didn't knock Thatcher off the front pages -

    weeps

  • oh no!!!

  • @VL: I don't want to rub it in, but I've just comprehensively insured an R32 for £350.

I don't want to rub it in but you're old

It's Acton. Anything can mysteriously catch fire in Acton.

  • I don't want to rub it in but you're old

Fair point. But I can insure virtually anything.

  • Well my dad who is 72 can do that too!! His is-f is only £300 in central london

Did you end up getting the car you posted a week or so ago?

  • just smashed my fog light on the valence - thank fuck for backing up into a sls instead of a normal car, as it would have been my bodywork instead of a simple light that would need repairing!!

  • Did you end up getting the car you posted a week or so ago?

    I did.

Just consulted youtube for launch control purposes. Very effective indeed, but I will need new rear tyres soon and I've since found out that these things go through suspension bushes like toothpicks. Something to do with a V6 lump being at the front.

She already wants a 911 next year.

So that's my overtime spent then...

I'm sure the SLS owner was equally as happy that you backed up into his car rather than an old mondeo!

    I did.

I look forward to seeing some over the top middle eastern modifying!

  • Refurbed OZ Superleggeras. Like new. £155.

    WINNER

  • Four bolt? GET THEM IN THE BIN

  • bargain - super light wheels!

  • 5kg a wheel, I could play frisbee with these things.

  • indeed - they are lighter than the ultraleggera's that replaced them!

  • IMO the problem with the Ultraleggera is they made the mistake of trying to have a fancier design, thus the spokes needed to be beefier to support the rim, and so they were heavier. The Superleggera is closer in design to the classic motorsport multispoke wheel.

  • Yes! I'd have those on my everyday car if I could. Compomotive THs on my fast car though

  • indeed, was looking for a set for my legacy, but settled on some Rota GRA's instead

There was a set of mint Zender Turbos going recently for a decent price. I do like that style of wheel. Hot hatches demand Comp MO though. DEMAND.

  • me gusta
at minispeed getting radius arm replaced

    Not for long

  • I cycled past a Lamborghini Countach on the way to work yesterday morning. It was only as I got close to it did I realise what it was and that I had never seen one in the flesh before. It was the one with the fuck off massive spoiler on the back. I couldn't believe how awesome it was. It looked like it had no place on London's roads, more like something out of Buck Rodgers. It was only about 12 inches off the ground or something

They certainly don't make cars like that any longer. It took all my restraint to avoid crashing into it

  • was reading those words waiting for the description of your sense of wonder as you were inexplicably drawn towards inevitable impact. was disappointed :(

  • well im back from minispeed and boy am I happy.
No more crabbing and 12 more horsepower (31-43)
A 30%+ increase in power in a 700kg car does give some real differences

  • You could just about run my air conditioning compressor with your engine now.
