  • Tricky to find a) gravel, b) hundreds of thousands of pine trees and c) a cliff in the Tesco car park at 3am Sunday morning though.

  • Drifting.

  • I am with quinny on this one.

  • How do you feel about drifting round a racetrack?

  • Just remembered- day before yesterday I was about to shout out the window "G-day you bogan!" luckily I realised it wasn't you before I did so.

nice. i will be up at the garage on friday, btw. i am going to have another crack at the brakes/wheels. i am struggling to get the time to do anything at the moment, and may concede if i can't sort it then.

  • I used to be "not arsed" about drifting until I went and tried it. It's really fun all day and all night.

Yeah just hanging the back end out gets boring after an hour but linking corners with big angle, big speed, and lots of smoke is so much fun. AND HARD. Really hard. You can't pick up drifting overnight. The guys in series like JDM Allstars, EDC, and to a lesser extent BDC aren't just some kids who picked it up last year. While it's only hit wider public appreciation in the last 5 or so years, the boys I hang out with have been nibbling away for nearly 15 years to get where they are now. It takes a huge amount of car control and skill, I get a bit pissed off when people say stuff like, "Oh drifting can't be hard, I saw Plato knock it out the park after trying it for the first time..." THE FIRST TIME??? HE'S THE OLDEST MAN IN BTCC! Whereas, I have seen some scruffy looking 35 year old man with a beard and baggy jeans manji round the outside of an Elise in a beaten down S13 on Paddock Hill Bend.

  • It's the Yellowbird showdown...

    Pontiac Vs RUF

    Who will you choose?

  • I love me a porche/ruf but that pontiac... ridiculous.

I'd go pontiac, then probably wish I'd gone ruf.

  • Er. Contest?

    Nein.

  • There's no contest, I just came across the Pontiac, LOLd, then thought you guys might like to see something funny.

  • Ja, I'd go Ruf Yellowbird, buy some moccasins and practise driving whilst only looking through the side windows.

  • Someone buy me one of these:

  • ^^ Socks are for ze English.

  • Someone buy me one of these:

Way ahead of you. Just need to get the 964 then it's one of those or a Hachi.

  • Re the golden shower above: Porsche. Every. Single. Time.

More fun, more refined and certainly more likely to go around corners...

  • porsche all the way. on a track that pontiac would have no chance. maybe faster in a straight line though....

  • Pow. Moving pixels definately enhances images, hard too know when too much.

  • what do you mean? serious question

  • in other news, i have finally got around to booking a track day in the mgb.
i am also booked in for this:in my mate's gt junior

    can't wait.

  • The top of the bonnet looks to have fair bit of potato soft brush work.

    Maybe a tad false?
