  • I'm still calling bullshit.

  • Don't shoot the messenger Paul ;)

  • That's my job!

  • I won't cycle into the back of the messenger either.

  • Regardless of what colour the car/tarmac is or how much I've drunk. Including electrolytes.

  • It had better look like this within a couple of weeks

  • Rowhan would still manage to hit it.

  • Bimmer art cars were amazing, I think I've convinced Richie to get an MX5 too.

Art car exhibition needs visiting - it's great.
Convinced is a strong word. Dammit could be in on this, too.

  • Multiple-murderer. I like to go to out with a sub-machine gun.

You should see my guns. WWAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!

You must have shot a lot of tigers.

Yes, I used a machine gun.

Some measly rep to the first person to guess the film.

  • Zoolander?

    Pure track car?

  • Oh yes..

Rohan (claims to have) wrote one of these off when a friend let him drive it.

    LOL

Did he drive into the back of someone?

    more LOL

Yeah, a black car on black tarmac, etc...

    Even more LOL

Does he know anyone from Romford?

    Other than me?

Does anyone from Romford know him?

I'm guessing not. Other than me.

    I'm still calling bullshit.

    Me too.

    Mmm... electrolytes.

Rowhan would still manage to hit it.

    Excellent.

    Those wrap around's are insane.

I'm nervous about cutting the sill plastics, not sure I'll be drilling out holes for spots! ;)

  • Zoolander?

    And our survey says.....

  • Pure track car?

that's the bit i am not sure on. t/t could be a lot easier/cheaper than a trailer and a garage

    The Italian Job.

  • It could live here under a cover, on the trailer.

The Volvo has a detachable tow bar, chuck that on, tow the MX-5 to Brands, hurtle round like lunatics.

The idea of taxing and insuring a car that'll sit under a cover for 99% of the year annoys me, especially if it's a methanol drinking, supercharged, caged and slammed track car.

    Welcome to classic car ownership.

putting a £1k on a £1.5k trailer annoys me more!
i am talking £600 snotter, stripped, roll bar, harness and a decent set of tyres.

    parking's free on my street.

  • Welcome to classic car ownership.

    yeah, that's right.

although, it's a must in england/ london. i use my car loads, in all weather, and it certainly looks like it. if it wasn't garaged, it would be fucked by now, or needing sills and a respray at least.

One of my favourite film quotes!

Wait till the winter, mine were sub £300 quid (mine are Eunos) as they were MOT failures on the sills, Patches on patches sort of thing.

Needed 70 quids worth of parts, (inner, outer and middle) and a bit of maunfactiring of the inner rear wing and bits of the floor. Scabby dents and bumpers but full respray was £350, and that was supplying a stripped car, door bonnet, bumpers, trim and boot off, and dents all preped

  • Oh and have adjusted the caster camber as they both had 'sports' springs fitted so everything was correct for nice handling as intended (designed on the south coast you know). Would also look at suspension bushes and dampers if I were keeping them but they are for sale.

  • Wonder how many are left?

    Is this the 500?

Fancied buy a damaged one to put back on the road but they were pricy till the saloon one and then the kudos was lost and the value was in the mechanicals.
