  • Apart from a few specialist car manufacturers, I couldn't think of any others, plus Lotus are one of the few that always make sure their cars are as light as reasonably possible, which I completely agree with, **I may be a little biased towards them of course **=P

a little ;] of course.... what do you class as specialist? you mean cars that aren't produced from mainstream assembly lines?... like Ferrari? .....what about Audi? name me 1 car that they have produced that you could say a single bad thing about :]

  • @ Simpson79...They're just pimped up Vauxhalls-first two Carltons the last an Omega. the last is badged as a cadillac in the US?!?

I think you mean a Pontiac GTO not Cadillac...while some of the body features are the same the specs are different ,...and no, quite different from your vauxhalls :]

No its a caddilac catera google it

  • No its a caddilac catera google it

again, the specs are quite different

  • VN commodore 4.3 v6

    VS commodore 3.8 v6

    HX kingswood 4.3litre v6

    VZ commodore 5.7litre v8

Dull, dull, dull. I' not surprised GM are going tits up...

    Are you serious?
Up until the RS4 they have been riddled with faults.

I'd have been more impressed if they had concentrated their efforts on greater reliability.
    Loads Of Trouble Usually Serious.

  • Ferrari Testarossa, horrible mutt of a car. Interesting fact, Crockett's Testarossa in Miami Vice was actually just a Corvette with a body kit.

Audi, not as easy, up until recent years they'd been my favourite "practical" cars, though the TT is a huge lump for a "sportscar" however, it does have room for 2 amputees in the back, which is very high attention to detail, I know this bit is down to personal preference, but the new range are beginning to look a bit too much like BMWs, even the drivers are beginning to drive like your average BMW driver.

Not as bad as Fix Or Repair Daily =P

  • When will you bunch of fucktards realise that 'record bonuses in the city' = we all have jobs. I'm fucked off with communist messengers. You fucktards don't even know what side you on...

If I see another 'I've been credit crunched' followed by 'I hate city wankers' followed by 'I won't buy that thing that I don't need for the price you want for it' thread I'm quitting the forum before Object can pursuade me otherwise.

    Fucktards the lot of you.

    Come again?

ooh you are awful but i like you.

  • It's so big I was able to fit Hippy in it this evening.

    If williamtell breathed in.

  • No its a caddilac catera google it

"The Catera's basic platform/chassis continued in use until September 2006 in the North American Pontiac GTO, and until 2007 in the Holden Commodore and Holden Monaro in Australia. The European Opel Omega was discontinued in 2003."

So it shares a chassis? Wow.

They are the pov pack versions. Jap imports ftw

  • a little ;] of course.... what do you class as specialist? you mean cars that aren't produced from mainstream assembly lines?... like Ferrari? .....what about Audi? name me 1 car that they have produced that you could say a single bad thing about :]

evidently that A2 was way overpriced and had a very harsh ride. they only sold a few because they were so shit.

  • Early Xmas prezzy:

    Yeah it's stock OTPage..and wat!

  • Are you serious?

you're going to have to be a little more specific then that

  • evidently that A2 was way overpriced and had a very harsh ride. they only sold a few because they were so shit.

overpriced?? lets not be pedantic Mr Smith... is that all you have? o/p and a harsh ride?
    :]

believe me.. the RS4 is nothing like a BMW- in any dimension- that thing is a beast!,
my gf has a TT , the 3.2 Quattro 6 spd ..hers had some modifications but essentially stock standard...I borrowed it when last in NZ, it was fun to drive and very quick but had many negitive points ( not mechanical) including a no go zone for the rear seats like u said ( not sure why they are there?) only for midgits I think... and some door issues. all in all a fun car!

Agree about the RS4, fantastic car.

    No Lotus Carlton though...

    =P

meh! lol ...each to their own I guess :] you can have your Carlton...Ive seen very few cars that can match the RS4 for overall racing technology while still wearing civilian clothes :]

  • Fuck the RS4, it's all about Audi and Porsche's collaboration on the RS2, the car that spawned all the RS models.

They're developing a new RS2 with Porsche apparently, which is good news.

Mk3 2.8 special in matt black.

If it's the one in your avatar, looks nice.

Oh and you can't have a go at Holden, they may have used other GM parts in the earlier days, but these days it's the Holden designed car that leads the way (GM wise) in the UK and US, one car rebranded as a Vauxhall VX8R and a Pontiac GTO.

If you look at the fog lights on a VX8R, Vauxhall haven't even bothered getting rid of the HSV symbol (Holden Special Vehicles)!

    Oh, and enough about cars!

  • 2008 spend
new xt mechs and shifters for my cannondale mtb
    langster frameset and subsequent build
liked that so much , am keeping for " best " and bought an 09 langster for the winter
thomson seatpost for 09 langster cos it matches the frame
    2 new giro lids
2 new specialized " one less car " jerseys
redline monocog s/s mountain bike frame and forks , still sat in box waiting for build

    sold
    trek navigator s/s
    giant ocr
I think thats it , not put a £ figure cos if wife sees this will go post traumatic.

  • Just a mouse would appear to be just a fat cat.

  • A dredge from back in the day when the economy hit the shit fan. Same question for now as we come out of recession according to Bank of England. Nice memories of Tynan, Wiganwill and of course 50/14

  • 800 for custom frame then built the rest over time so in excess of a grand but never more than a couple of hundred each time
